Day: 62

Sad day today. I decided to cut them down due to the persistent aphids. Starting some “Scotti Faced” and a couple others in a week when I get into my new apartment.

Day: 61

+1

Aphids really suck. Lost one plant and am trying to save the rest here. These plants smell like burnt rubber and strawberries

Caliban

Caliban Aphids do suck. Sorry you have to deal with them! Plants look good but they could use some N and Mg/s from a quick look

Day: 46

+1

Looking a little better but in need of CalMag still. I hunt aphids daily with pointed end tweezers like a metal mantis.

Caliban

Caliban Try some diluted Epsom salt in water as a foliar spray. Give that Mg a boost.

Day: 45

+1

Dealing with relentless aphids, and trying to get the magnesium deficiency corrected.

I’ll be moving in 3 weeks, and since I’ll have to move my set up, I can’t scrog until they get to the new place. I’d start right now otherwise…

StanW213

StanW213 why the rocks on top?

559cultivation

559cultivation Looks like a bit of a magnesium problem starting to develop.

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger I agree with the mag problem and should get CalMag ASAP. The rocks on top are for two main reasons: 1) to retain top soil moisture. & 2) for microbes and worms to hide under since I’m using living soil

Day: 39

I top dressed, watered, then topped the soil with thin slate so that the top soil doesn’t dry out so much.

Day: 38

Folded down the sides of my bags for better air flow. Found a massive area of worm castings today so I collected them and top dressed the soil.

Reckless

Reckless Beautiful! How many plants do you intend on growing in the 2x4 tent?

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger I plan to flower 3 or 4 in the 2x4. I may make one a mother plant, because I love this strain so far.

Day: 35

Chugging along. Speaking of which, today is watering day

Day: 32

Started training.

Day: 32

This was my first time using fabric pots and didn’t fill them properly. The plants are also staying super squat, so I can’t top dress much yet. (3 gallon square AC infinity pots)

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger Any suggestions on how to better LST in fabric pots?

jheilaman

jheilaman I under filled my bags on a grow all I did was fold top down so don’t have so much flop at the top then tied pipe cleaners from the bag to the stem . Seemed to works for me .

Day: 31

+2

In veg now. I’ll let them grow out until they fill 50% of my 2x4 and then flip to 12/12.

organic_grower

organic_grower Looks like they recovered nicely!

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger I agree! I’m excited to see what the next few weeks of veg do to them.

Reckless

Reckless Duuuude! Am in love with the progress on you plants!

Day: 27

Dealing with aphids and fungus gnats. I’m thinking of getting an earth box for my 2x4 and going full living soil/IPM

Caliban

Caliban Yellow sticky tape. And neem oil for the top soil.

ig:@eaegifts

ig:@eaegifts Check out Mr Grow it videos he just did a second interview with BeastCoastGrower and he specifically mentions gnats and talks all about how he’s running his living soil beds. Good luck with her

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger Thank you, I was just looking for something to listen to, so there it is.

Wow, they are really taking off now. Lots of new growth every day.

All four of the girls have recovered after the topping. I know most do not top this early, but if she survives, I don’t see a problem

Day: 22

Doing ok after the pre mature toppings. I think the wilting was because they were thirsty, as today is when they needed water.

NopeQQ

NopeQQ you shouldn't top that early. she is far too weak for that 🥺

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger I know that now. I mis interpreted information when I did it. They seem to be doing alright though

NopeQQ

NopeQQ I wish her a lot of strength and good luck 🌱💚

Day: 18

First day of being topped

organic_grower

organic_grower You should let your plants get a little bigger before topping. Usually around 5 sets of leafs. Not trying to be rude just sharing info.👊

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger Do you think it will be alright? I definitely mis interpreted what I was told

organic_grower

organic_grower It might be ok.. time will tell growmie. Is that your only plant in the go?

Only “The Great” remains. These four will be the ones to fill my 2x4 once my Sativa finishes. I’ll be topping them soon.

Day: 13

Transplanted into 3 gallon fabric pots. 1.5” layer of perlite on top.

Day: 11

Added a layer of perlite. Should help prevent a fungus gnat infestation. How do they look for day 11?

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger Bottom left 4 are “The Great”. Top 4 are “Banana Daddy”

Day: 9

The Great is looking good on day 9.

Day: 9

Experimentation is important to progress. I am wrapping a “Zweet Inzaninty” around “The Great”.

highlylifted

highlylifted Doing this a White Widow Bonsai I’m doing! It’s amazing watching this lady vine climb her way up around my “stalk” it’s being helped up with AC Infinity Plant Ties

GoldenTiger

GoldenTiger My thought behind doing this is that the root systems may benefit from being entangled (having to do with fungal relationships) And the stocks may fuse at some point and make the overall strength greater, possibly resulting in greater yield for the same amount of colas.

Day: 7

“The Great” then “Banana Daddy”
