Day 31. My partner’s kids turned off the plug for the tent Thursday night and the plants were left in the dark for 22 hours. I’m not a happy bunny. Lights came on as scheduled last night at 100%. Noticeable growth for all three. No water today.

Light water today as her soil felt dry. She appears to have grown quite a bit over night. Lights were set to 12/12 and intensity increased to 70%. Maybe that’s what has slowed her down?

RIP Cherry. You were good while you lasted. Have switched lights to 12/12 for the photoperiods. I will be surprised if Cherry makes it through. It was a hard decision to come to, but ultimately it might before the best.

Slight water and feed well away from her. (Day 16). Update: She’s had a nice spray down of magnesium and water before the lights come back on at 6pm. She was wilting slightly.

PH tested the run off and adjusted to 5.93 and used this to water the seedling. Her soil is quite dry. The temperature and humidity monitor also fell on her. It’s going to be one of those weeks (again).

Removed her from her plug because she was rooting directly in the pot and not in the plug. Gave some water and a tiny bit of feed because the soil was bone dry. The propagation plug was very compacted.

I am doing an experiment with my last cherry pie seed. Have put another one in a propagation plug and put into the airing cupboard in a sandwich bag. Curious to see if that will speed up the germination. I’m convinced that the soil is getting too dry, too quickly in the tent. ⛺️

Alas, she didn’t even begin to sprout. 🌱 Have soaked a propagation block and planted a new seed in it so I know where to look for her. Covered in a sandwich bag. I am wondering if I should have stuck to my yogurt cup technique because it keeps the soil moist and protected. I feel like once this one sprouts, the other seed will kick into action because the soil is more moist and getting nutrients.

Planted Cherry in her pot. Placed one of those little plastic propagation covers on the spot where she’s planted so I can keep track. 🍒 🥧 🍬
