Humbolt Hawaiian seed from first harvest

2nd grow! help greatly appreciated

5 plants in 2x4 tent with Mars hydro sp250. Had an amazing first grow by the seat of my pants with Google! So much to learn!!! Would love any help! These 2 humbolt are from my first harvest. They seem happy but not growing tall at all! I think I may have the light too close. FIM’d too late and just waiting to see the outcome. HELP!

Harvesting the 2 critical peyote plants in the morning after sitting in darkness for 36 hours. Chopped about 1/3 of one today but the lights had just come on about an hour before so after reading about it I stopped chopping and put them in the dark! The Humboldt Hawaiian plant needs a little more time, I think. I will post pics of her trichomes tomorrow for advice! Here is the ladies I’m harvesting tomorrow!😊

Deanna The bottom 2 pics are of the Humbolt that I think needs some more time! I’m still feeding her and everything!

Day: 97

Well 2 of these ladies are looking like they are ready to be harvested. Definitely second-guessing myself because I cut my last harvest too soon. My Humbolt Hawaiian lady is nowhere near being ready but I believe the critical peyote is ready to be cut. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Started flushing today!

Mystrain420 Best advice at this point- get a scope to check the trichomes

Deanna I have one. It’s a little hand held. It works though! They look clear and cloudy to me! I hate this part!!!!😩 I feel I need to get an electrical one so I can share the pics! Should I wait for amber to come?

Tres4_growsloud Yummy looking buds👌🏽, they look close, keep a close eye on your trichomes

Switched from beastie bloomz to cha ching today. They all seem to be at different stages...! I have the largest plant in my flower tent with all the bells and whistles and then 2 in my veg tent and the ones in the veg tent with nothing but a fan seem to be so much frostier...🤔

Plants are doing OK except for one which seems to have some type of deficiency or nute burn. It’s crazy because I have two of the same plants in different tents and one is so so so frosty and the other one is a lot taller but not as frosty! Should I be trimming these down at all or just leave them bushy? I usually trim much much more than this before flower but decided to leave them this time and now I’m second-guessing myself! Thanks everybody for all your help!😊

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 Most ppl say trimming stops at week 3. It’s really experience and preference. Are you leaving them in the runoff water? Are you getting a decent amount of runoff?

Deanna No, they are raised up with saucers under them so they aren’t sitting in it at all. I’m getting quite a bit of runoff and been feeding once a day. Don’t know if I should go to twice a day but they seem pretty happy right now. I’m not seeing any new issues. It is normal to get some yellow leaves leaves at this stage, right?

Deanna And as far as trimming goes...do these seem to be too bushy? Is it okay to remove leaves that seem to be in the way?

Please help! What does this mean? I am using cal mag...is this from too much???

Dukeshaba What light do you have

Dukeshaba And that can be a lot of different things after everything these girls went through I’d say they are doing ok

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 Never thought to ask what u r growing in? It looks like calmag deficiency but it could be a lock out. Different mediums need different ph

I’ve been feeding them cal mag with their nutrients and also cut way back on nutes! I’m pretty sure I was burning them!🤦‍♀️

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 They’re looking good. Seeing the frost and the differences between them they’re definitely different phenos imo nice 👍🏾

Deanna Yes, these are two different strains. I have 2 plants that are one kind and one another. I split the two of the same up so I could guage the difference in tents but they are so different anyway!

Deanna I have a question....do I need a better light to grow denser buds? I feel like my first two grows looked so much the same…very airy buds!🤔

Day: 71

I have one happy plant and 2 with funky things happening!!! One plant is alone and showing signs of something on its leaves that I can’t figure out! I have backed off the nutrients with her but I feel it may be a deficiency! Using tap water do you still need Cal-mag in coco???? The first few pics are the happy lady...then the 2 I need help with!!!

Deanna I think it’s 2 different issues!! The lady that is alone is the last pics. She seems happy other than that leaf burn!!! The other one seems droopy and has a LOT more leaf problems! Can anyone tell me what this is???!! Do I need to use cal mag in coco with tap water???

Tres4_growsloud Yes ,I use tap water and still have to use cal mag with coco. My tap water EC is .4, I bring it to .6 with cal mag after I add my nutes my EC is at 1.3 and that’s what I feed my plants till late flower when I bump it up a bit with pk13/14

Tres4_growsloud Are you using your nutes at full strength? What’s ur EC and PH of your inputs? And what’s the runoff EC?

Can someone tell me what this is??? Nutrient burn, deficiency?? It’s only on one of my plants!🤔 Please help!!!

Deanna It’s the droopy plant too!!!😟

Tres4_growsloud How much EC you feeding that plant?

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 How far away is the light and is there a fan pointed directly at her? What are u feeding exactly? Where on the plant is the problem starting? Are there any other symptoms u notice? My first guess would be mag deficiency or light burn but more info would be needed. Good luck 👍🏾

Started beasty bloomz today along with Terpinator and Bloombastic for the past week. She’s already sparkling!!! Also have a lady lookin very droopy and just unhappy! Any advice as to why just one would be lookin this way?!? I once killed a plant pruning too much and I hope I didn’t do it again...🤦‍♀️HELP!!!!

Deanna The first pic is the sparkles!!! The next few are the unhappy lady I need some help with! I also need to understand NPK really bad!!!🤔Am I supposed to be starving the ladies COMPLETELY of nitrogen??! If so then why is it in beasty bloomz??!

Mrjetsgrow I give my plants a good misting spray after any pruning.

Deanna Ok thank you...! Do you think she’ll be ok?

They are all doing well! I am looking for advice to make my buds more dense. My first two grows came out pretty good but how do I make the buds more dense? Is it all about the light??!

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 What kind of light do u use? I think it’s a mixture of light quality, genetics & airflow

Tres4_growsloud Yes everything he said☝🏽☝🏽also correct temps and Rh are important. There’s a few boxes that need to be checked that will help bud production. Proper training and pruning techniques are some I can think of👍🏾👍🏾

Deanna I have 2 tents both with Mars hydro sp250s in them. If I were to put both lights in one tent would it make a difference? Or do I need another type of light? I feel like both my first 2 grows were successful but I want dense buds...top shelf quality!! Don’t we all...! How do I achieve that?? I would like advise on training also. Is it too late with these ladies?

They are all 3 starting to do their thing! Everything seems to be going well so far! I trimmed all the lower growth and thinned them out a little bit. Hope it was okay to do at this stage of the game but they were just too bushy!

Deanna The one that is critical peyote seems to be starting out a little slower but still seems happy!

Day: 59

Starting to show pistols! Ladies are happy and healthy! I am hoping to not outgrow my tent! Is it too late to do any type of training? Also, should I be trimming these ladies down or just leave them and let them grow???

Flipped to 12/12 light schedule 2 days ago. These ladies have gone crazy!!! I finally transplanted the lady in the one gal to a 5 gal smart pot! They are going bananas and I hope they don’t outgrow my tent! I haven’t done any more trimming. Waiting for advice. Do I let them go or start trimming? And if I should trim, all fan leaves or just some?

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 It’s really preference, but most ppl lollipop right before the flip or defoliate. Personally they look bushy and Sativa dominant to me so I’d trim the lower growth that’s not gonna produce much and lst her to open up the canopy since she’s likely to have long slim colas vs short wide like a Indica & probably only remove higher fan leaves if they’re blocking to much light. They look great btw

Deanna Can I lollipop them now or is it too late? When should I trim the lower growth? Is it ok to do now or should I wait? Also, can you explain how to LST to open her up? I have yet to do any training and don’t really know what to do! Thanks again!!!

Day: 49

These ladies have gone bananas since transplanting them in to 3 gal smart pots. I did not transplant one and she’s still in a 1 gal smart pot and she’s so much smaller than these 2 monsters! (Last two pics are her) I decided to throw her in with my lady that I am about to harvest but left her in 1 gal smart pot. I’m hoping she won’t grow huge but will still flower. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Will she produce flower in that small of a pot? I switched them all to 12/12 light schedule today.

They are coming along! Will get rid of one today and transplant into 5 gal smart pots. Looking for advice with trimming! Thanks again!

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 Why are u getting rid of one? Why not just keep it under a small clamp light until the other two are done the flower her alone, she’ll be a monster

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 I trim from the top down for fan leafs and then remove small branches from bottom up that are too small. I’m careful to remove fan leafs without damaging or removing growth tips. It’s good to lst after also to let light penetrate more, I super cropped yesterday after trimming

Deanna Please explain super cropping to me and how do I go about doing LST? Is it too late right now to do it? I only have 2 - 2 x 4 tents. And yes, I think I will actually try that because I do have an extra small light that I took out of the tent because of heat! Will 3 gallon parts be enough or do I need to go with 5 gallon?

Plants are going crazy! Going to flip to 12/12 as soon as I harvest my other lady. I will be down to 2 plants at flip. Keeping one of each strain. Looking for advice with trimming and training. Is it too late to train? Last time I trimmed at this stage my lady was naked when I finished and I was upset.☹️Don’t really know exactly what should be taken off. Again...any help is GREATLY appreciated!😊 **Last 3 photos are examples of my trimming!😬This was my 4th lady that I trimmed before deciding to get rid of her (no room). She was the same size as the others. Is that trimming WAY TOO much?!? Help please!!! I left the other 3 alone until I get advice!☺️

Radob Looks great

Tres4_growsloud You’re doing good👍🏾 plants look healthy. It’s never to late while your still in veg👌🏽, pruning/trimming is basically jus taking off what you think isn’t get light and training is basically exposing more of the plant to light by bending or tying down branches

Tres4_growsloud The one plant you did is nicely done👍🏾

I think I may have topped these too early… Looking for advice! I also trimmed quite a few leaves off of them and I am looking for advice as to what I should do next!😩 They are growing in coco loco under a Mars hydro sp250

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 Wait a week to see how they respond. They look more than big enough to top

Tres4_growsloud Nah you should be alright 👌🏽 get them off the floor though , put em in saucers , and collect the runoff water in saucers not on ur tent floor

Deanna Thank you! I just read this message now… Wish I had seen it sooner. I just found out I was burning my lady in flower because of that exact reason… I was letting her sit in runoff. And only feeding her every other day in coco… Yikes! I went and got saucers for all of the plants… Thank you very much and would love advice on my new post!

Plants look happy. I just moved the light up and I think I had it too close and it was stunting their growth. I am also wondering if I topped them too early. I am doing different things with each plant because I guess the only way to learn is by experience.

Deanna Can anybody tell me if I should be trimming leaves off of these yet?! Thank you!

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 Are those really 16 days from seed? They’re huge if they’re 16 from seed

FIM’d too late...I think. Waiting to see the outcome unless someone has advice...

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 Did u top her before? She looks like it two tops. I just fim my Cindy99 clone at the 6th node. All information I’ve ever saw says 5th or 6th node I’ve personally done it way past that with good results.

Deanna When you say 6th node you mean each set of leaves, correct? (Each set is a node?)So I did not do it too late?!? Help understanding greatly appreciated! 😊

Deanna Also, this is 5 different plants. Each one from the top view.
