Does anyone know what caused this? It’s my first grow and I want as much advice as I can get!

apexpred Hi there so it looks like you either have coco or soil. Many people do start in smaller pots as it makes it easier to not overwater. But this also means you can drown them as well. Little seedlings need only a small amount of water. I started in a 5 gallon and don’t have much experience in small pots like this. I would suggest using a small cup and using about 20% of the pot size to water. Then wait until they dry out before watering again

apexpred If this is coco ph is 5.6 to 5.8 for the water and 6.0 to 6.5 for soil. Use the whole range so change it up sometimes. Coco needs nutrients after the first 4 days and normally soil unless inert has around 1 month of nutrients in a 3-5 gallon pot. Look up ppfd and dli at grow light meter. They have some useful guides. I would suggest downloading phototone or buying a cheap par meter that reads in ppfd. This is ur light intensity. For seedlings week 1 210 ppfd will prevent your seeds from stretching like they are in the picture. Then 280 for week 2 310 for week 3. This is at 18 hours. On grow light meter from phototone it can help you determine what your ppfd for your plants should be.

apexpred Always ph your water before feeding your plants and always ph after all nutrients are added. I would guess your plants mostly died from either being within coco and no nutes or it was overwatered in either coco or soil and they got what is called damping off it’s a fungus that is lethal to seedlings and is caused by overwatering.
