Trimmed a couple fan leaves off to bring out some width. The effects of topping the plant seem like they’re paying off. 2 more weeks :)

Day: 47

Thinking I might send her in flowering stage soon. The more I look at other peoples plants I see 6 weeks is good for flowering. I just topped her last week so any advice?

greenhouseguy95

greenhouseguy95 Depends on what kind of light your running really and pot size. Lots of other factors. But those would be your main ones. If you got a damn good light and you want some yield. Grow em out longer. It's personal preference.. how long do you want to wait. If that's not a factor and you have a huge light and you want a big yield. Go for it. Veg em out and get an awesome experience out of your first grow. You'll have huge buds to show your friends if you bush that girl out and grow her out till she's like 2-3ft tall. Again your light will be your biggest factor at this point inhibiting you from growing a healthy huge plant if it cannot penetrate or even surround the budsites well enough. Let me know if you got any other questions man. Happy to help Happy growing

greenhouseguy95

greenhouseguy95 Also great job for your first grow. She looks happy

ToadWeed

ToadWeed 600w light! She’s not the biggest light either. 5 gallon pot too. I think I’ll keep her growing, I’m always so indecisive on how long to grow her. Thank you for the compliment I focus a lot on her. It’s a real fun time learning about the plant. Also the community has been nothing but great. So again thank you for reaching out.

Leaving her alone for a little bit longer as I just topped her. Don’t want her to be too stressed. Happy with how she’s going. We’ll see how day 70 or 80 is and I’ll send her into flower!

Trimmed her a little bit, cut the leaves that had some deficiencies, and topped her. How’s it look? Any tips?

Day: 37

Had my girlfriend do some LST and watering for me while I was gone. Lots of new life, I feel like when I send her into bud she’ll be a smaller bush type plant lol. Very happy with it and how far it’s gone.

LST and watering today. PH at 5.7. Definitely was light burn, taught my employee to keep the light at 24 inches at all time. Love how I can look back and see how far she’s come, learn the issues each time. This process is fun and exciting and I can’t wait to keep going :)

@highthcnowology I’m asking if u are giving nutrients. I see a lil twisting in the leaves

ToadWeed

ToadWeed I am giving her nutrients! :)

Day: 34

+2

Moved the light up to 24 inches and watered her a lot more. Put a fan near her for more air circulation. Cut some leaves off to study them back home and I’m starting to think it was light burn. I have an employee who is conservative with his grow methods and had the light really close. Any ideas? Think it’s light burn?

@highthcnowology Nice. Mostly likely light burn. Good job. She looking good. Are you given nutrients at all

ToadWeed

ToadWeed I am, FloraBloom, FloraMicro, and FloraGro are the nutrient bottles I bought for her.

Day: 32

It seems like every other day this girl has some new issue. Temp is constantly at 71°, humidity has dropped down to 38 - 40 so that sucks. Watering when needed and making sure PH is at 5.5 - 6.0 every time. Plant does feel real brittle, could it be the humidity? Any ideas?

ToadWeed

ToadWeed Yes coco

mystrain420 _@eaegifts

mystrain420 _@eaegifts Stay between 5.8-6.1 and water til 20% runoff. Never let the pot dry out, if the top looks dry it’s time to water

She’s doing really well, a little bit of LST and she’s reacting well to it! 😇 to reply about when I want to make her bloom, I’m not too sure on these things and I’ve seen people send her to flower around day 70-80. Lmk what you guys think!

Day: 29

30 more days? Or should I go for 60 till Bloom?

bjbetty

bjbetty What for?

gayla_d

gayla_d Is it in veg? If so, you don’t have to wait any set amount of days. Just let it get to a good size, keeping in mind that the first 3 weeks of flower it’s going to double or triple in size.

Day: 26

Bad idea to start LST this early?

seadub1979 No, it’s not too early to start training, depending on what you are trying to achieve. I’d suggest that you start by counting nodes (where branching happens from the stem) and when you’ve got 6 or more, you should “top” the plant. That will give you more lateral branching and will develop more potential bud sites. Doing this before training has generally been my approach and if you consider the amount of “trauma” you’re putting the plant through with each thing, it’s good to give a few recovery days between them.

Rampage

Rampage I’m day 21 and about the same size as you and I’m doing it so I thing you are good just be sure to hit both sides equally and you should be good

Day: 25

She’s doing a lot better, very happy I caught the issues early. Much more excited about this grow now. New life, temperature issues fixed, no more Phosphorus issues. Very excited :)

Funky84

Funky84 She’s on her way 👊🏻👍🏻

Day: 20

She’s doing better, but not great, with learning these issues I’ve already germinated her sister. So I can’t wait to fix the issues with the other girls. Hope this girl turns out okay too.

Day: 18

Learning one day at a time. Temperature up to 70°. She’s definitely experiencing nutrient burn. Not sure why, I’m following a guide along with having Coco. Everything was put in the water correctly. Already germinating 2 new seeds so I can retry and have my own method. Wish me luck!

stoned_ginger

stoned_ginger First thing I learned is less is better

ToadWeed

ToadWeed Yeah I agree. One thing I will say is I figured out that the water I was giving her was not good so now I’m giving her better water. 🤣 this is all new to me

Day: 17

Recalibrated my PH tester, turns out the PH was bad the entire time. Temperature can’t be brought up due to the spot I’m growing, so currently at 66°. Fed her water and nutrients and we’ll see how she is within this week. Happy to have these issues on my first grow, I can learn and fix them with the next plants.

Day: 15

First ever grow. Day 14. GG4. Room temp 66 degrees, Flora Micro, Bloom, Gro and Cal-Mag are nutrients I use. I PH to 5.5 to 6.5 regularly. Air flow with fan and soon to be turned on Carbon Filter. Just transferred, which I believe was a little too early. I plan on flushing and cutting off the leaf that is damaged. Any tips?

mystrain420 _@eaegifts

mystrain420 _@eaegifts Ph range is horrible. 5.5 is Hydro numbers but 6.5 is soil. If you’re using coco do 6.0 is soil then stay between 6.3-6.8 👍🏾. Also raise the temps to at least 75
