Very pleased with the results. I still have the one branch with a few medium size colas I kept going longer as an experiment on color development drying which will add a little bit more weight but all in we’ve achieved 16 1/8 OZ dry weight

So, just for shits and giggles I decided to leave a few flowers a bit longer and see just how dark the colors can get since morning temps are now in the mid 40’s . Judging by the color of the trichomes we’ll be ok for another few days at least.

Massive harvest, amazing quality & if she smokes/vapes half as good as she smells I will be adding this strain to my annual crop for sure!

Started the harvest at sunrise, it’s 7pm and I’m just done with trimming and setting out to dry all of the flowers. Lost less than 1% to insects/pests so I’m very happy all things considered. BTW I included a photo of the giant cola I’d thought I lost to a malfunctioning yo yo . Without question she’s the stickiest of the four strains grown this year. Went through eighteen pairs of gloves and kept having to clean the shears every few minutes so yes, I have high hopes for her.

You know, the waiting is the hardest part. I’m using two yo-yos each supports up to 2.2kg before it starts to release . Essentially they’re used for hanging potted plants so you can pull them down to water then, assuming the plant with all that added water now is still running (quite) a bit under 2.2kg then the pot majically retracts and floats up. Well, I’m using these things in reverse so they act as a flexible/self adjusting support for large branches full of bud clusters up to 2kg or so well i figure hey they’re never going to get that heavy, right? They worked great…right up until last week when the weight of a branch way in the back, in an inaccessible corner of the greenhouse (of course ) seems to have exceeded 2kg. And I can see ‘em but I just can’t can’t get to those sweet sweet flowers 😢 they’re just keeled over on the side looking all sad and… I’m stupid, stupid, stupid… why didn’t I split the weight over two , just didn’t think the weight would ever… I mean it takes 2kg to pull that thing down and that branch only had a few colas. All I can do is let it ride, can’t risk damaging the rest of the plant but I’m inclined to think it’s most likely a faulty yo-yo…ironically I’ll be far more pissed if it’s not

Went ahead and started her on Botanicare Sweet Grape. Actually, I restarted her on sweet grape. I originally started her on the “grape” additive right at the first sign of flowers but when I was ready for another quart the local supplier was OS, and I refuse to pay those crazy prices you find online. Yeah it’s a liquid but that’s no reason to triple the normal price. Anyway, I’ve read that this strain naturally has a distinct grape profile, both taste and smell. Up to now the primary scent has been that of fruity candy. On a warm summer morning my greenhouse smells like I’m growing Mr Wonka’s candy snozberries yeah, super intense mixed berries & nothing like what you’d expect from pot really.

Came home to a tragic scene, this poor girl lost a branch with a large cluster of sweet, sweet flowers. Snapped right off. I realized that this was a relatively small flower just the other day & I was on the fence about adding support. Fortunately I think we’ve managed a save. Just goes to prove once again that most problems in life can be fixed by a judicious application of duct tape.

So… just estimating since it’s at the far end of the greenhouse but that flower in the first photo is roughly 15” long. In terms of perspective, it’s located on the far left side of the wide shot. You can just see the top of this bud at the very back- left side in the 2nd photo

Yeah, I can see why it’s called “platinum” really glad I decided to grow her in the greenhouse. Was a bit worried about the girl outgrowing her home but it all worked out ok keeps the extra moisture off those sweet, sweet flowers. Funny to see all the flying insects moving around in a stupor. On a warm day those sweet candy “fumes” do get to you lol. Seriously, there’s a strong fruity candy component to her aroma that’s just bonkers

19” tall, 👍 Recycled sunshine, interesting experiment kicks off today. Essentially I’m redirecting the setting sun with mirrors and shining it back into the greenhouse from across the compound. (See photos 5&6) That way my ladies get an extra bit of golden sunlight at the end of the day.

Baby got a new home & switched over to FF Ocean Forest to see if there’s a difference, other gals get FF Happy Frog. Did I mention that she’s moved into a spacious 15 gallon container. 😃 oh yeah!

Nice progress. I brushed up against one of her frosty leaves & my hand came away smelling like fruity candy, somewhat citrusy but much more complex than simple lemon or orange etc. oh yum

Training well, wish I could capture the gorgeous “frost” that’s covering all of the leaves. I was worried about mold but then mold doesn’t get all sparkly in the sunshine now does it 😎. Lovely scent, already a little stinker so only heaven knows how fragrant the flowers will end up (insert evil laughter here)
