Advice Definitely Needed! It might be a little difficult to see in the pictures but almost all of the new growth are exhibiting yellowing/very lime green edges right now. At first we thought that the ladies were experiencing some sort of nute burn, but now we are leaning towards an Mg deficiency. Also most of the new growth looks like a lighter shade of green compared to the old growth. Any ideas or input will be greatly appreciated!! Side Note: Watered Today 01/18 w/ Different Feed First Three Pictured - 6.25ml Cal Mag - 15mL Fox Farm Organics 5.8pH >> Run Off 6.1-6.2pH 330PPM >> Run Off 622PPM Last Three Pictured - 4mL Cal Mag - 45mL Fox Farm Organics - 10mL Fox Farm 6-4-4 6.4pH 620 PPM

mystrain420 That’s possibly a Nitrogen deficiency imo. I’d bump the feed up. I think the set getting the 6-4-4 will show u some improvement. Do you check runoff to see what they eating or if the feeds too low?

First time applying LST to our girls. Might have to adjust if you guys think we bent them too far. We didn’t hear any snapping so hopefully the girls respond well. 🤞🏽

islandjade40 Cute little guys... serious question... so, after you bend it over and secure it, when it shoots up towards the light again, then what do you have to do

Bonsorelli

Bonsorelli What I do is bend the top down below the rest. Then the other branches rise up past the top cola. Then I crop all of those branches back down to the lowest bud sites. Then all three rows grow at the same rate.

mystrain420 Nice lst.

First Feeding: Also first time using a whole Liter to water the girls with. Thinking about feeding them once a week.. every Saturday. A couple notes I took down. - Our reverse osmosis water starts @ 7.3-7.5pH & 6 PPM. Our Concoction: - 1L of Water (we always add 1tbsp of H2O2) - 1tbsp Lush Roots, Radiant Green, & Brilliant Black - 1tbsp Dolomite Lime - 1 Drop of pH Down = 5.5-5.6pH & 202 PPM We watered until there was run off so we took measurements of that for the first time as well. - Run Off @ 6.3pH & 480 PPM Today’s Lesson (4): 4. Brilliant Black(Herbal Humate): help produce higher yields, provide better nutrition, and are assist plants to be less subject to stress. They’re a rich source of energy and beneficial bacteria which aid overall plant health. These bacteria also protect against plant pests providing a natural form of protection. - 3/4th tsp / L Anyone familiar with any of the products we used today that want to share their experiences?

mystrain420 I use silica for nute uptake and drought/heat resistance. Seems counterproductive to use organic products then add h2o2? H2o2 is usually used to kill root bacteria (Pythium aka root rot). Is the lime being used in every feed? You should water when needed, it’s not advised to just pick a day and be careful of overwatering, remember the pots got bigger doesn’t mean the roofs are that big yet

xxkevshii @mystrain420 Have you ever used humate before and decided that you just prefer silica? And yes, I just looked it up and you’re right. H2O2 doesn’t differentiate between good and bad bacteria so it is counterproductive. We just added it because we always added it before when we didn’t have any pH down or something beneficial for root growth... but now it looks like we don’t need to use it anymore! This is the first time we are using the dolomite lime too. The size of the grain isn’t huge, but it is coarse. And it didn’t incorporate well with the water, it just sunk to the bottom of the liter. We got these nutrients from someone who use to try personally growing.. and they said they they rather see it be used than sitting around. So we are definitely learning how to incorporate them.

mystrain420

mystrain420 I’ve never used humates before I’ve only used silica, I’ve only done 2 organic grows. I’ll be posting an organic clone grow today, set it up yesterday and I have another planned. Did you build your own soil? I asked about the garden lime because I also use it when building my soil and sometimes my coco to keep ph stable, but it’s a one time use thing when first building the medium. Do you use it in every watering? If yes how does it affect ph? And what benefits does it bring the soil or plant? Are there separate nutrients for the bloom phase?

First (attempt) Topping 4 of my baby girls & FIMming to last 2 all on their 5th node. I wanted to experiment on the two different but similar techniques to see how they would grow... just crossing my fingers that my little girls respond well. I snipped when I topped and pinched to FIM. Today’s Lesson (3): 3. Plants that are topped or fimmed need at least 1-2 weeks to recover from the stress. Going to have to wait until then for their next haircut! Now I’m thinking about applying LST during this time period.. probably going to start on Sunday if it isn’t too soon. Any thoughts?

mystrain420 The 2 new tops should begin growing within a day or two. If the plants are healthy u can top multiple locations at once. Two weeks is a nice amount of time to give them but longer than needed. Since you’re experimenting lst one of each, I’m betting you’ll like the results of the fim’d lst more. It’s good to wait a week if you are new to growing, good luck 👍🏾

xxkevshii @mystrain420 I was pretty anxious about FIMming because I read that they could get bushier instead of taller and I wasn’t sure which my preference would be when I saw it..but because of your comment I’m more excited to see what the FIM’d girls are going to look like! Thank you 🖖🏽

mystrain420

mystrain420 No problem and btw if u can I’d take pics with natural light when/if u ask for advice, it’s easier to see things

Working on 5th node... thinking about doing our first topping either Friday or Saturday. Watered @ 6.5pH. They are looking way happier since the transplant and are now standing up fairly straight. Leaves have definitely perked up since.. Just waiting for our pH down to arrive in the mail.

Day: 23

Transplant Day: transferred 6 plants to five 7gal pots & one 5gal pot. Watered with 6.2pH. Crossing fingers that they don’t experience shock since it was our first time transplanting. Ladies are looking a little happier but still on the droopy side, hopefully in the next couple of days they perk up. Any advice?

mvgenetics

mvgenetics The size of the pots is huge for the babies you planted them in... so they’re suffering and workjng extra hard to get roots out into there. Try barely watering them only slightly.. let them dry out ALMOST fully... and no nutes yet. The soil you’re in already has some in it to get them by with just ph’d water. Hope this helps brother!

xxkevshii @mvgenetics I appreciate it bro! They were still pretty wet today. Waiting till early tomorrow to water now.

The ladies have been looking pretty sad lately (especially Zicky). Today’s Lesson(1&2): 1. PPM(parts per million) How much contaminants are in the water. The filtered water we have been using, has been at 500PPMs since germination. Seedling Stage PPM range: 100-250. Vegetative Stage PPM range: 300-400/450-700. Flowering Stage PPM range: 750-950/1000-1600. 2. pH levels can be either acidic or alkaline. We have been watering at 6.12 pH levels since Day 21.. before then we have been watering at about 7.0+. We will now aim for the pH to be 5.4-5.8 with 6.2 being the highest. Planning on transplanting to 7gal pots tomorrow... Pretty nervous. Any advice?
