Anyone know how long to cure ?

Walty

Walty There’s an entire tutorial on curing at growweedeasy.com. Just keep burping the jar every day until the relative humidity drops down to around 62 percent. You can use Boveda or Integra humidipacks too if you choose.

Walty

Walty How many mason jars did you get? I fit about an ounce per quart jar.

Jv15 Right now it’s about down to 60 percent. Just trying to get rid of the hay smell

Chopped me down and hung them. Not sure how much I got. Took me so long to trim them.

Walty

Walty Congrats on reaching harvest!! A lot of first grows never make it that far.

Jv15 Thanks man! Let me ask you how does the bud look? Mids? Or will I not Know until it drys ?

Walty

Walty I think it looks great for your first grow!! You should be proud to share that with some friends.

The day has come. The babies are ready. Looking great under magnification. Cloudy clearing trichomes with some amber. Not too much. Orange hairs all over the place and sticky af. The smell is so intense and im probably going to pull around 2 ounces or more. Chopping them down tomorrow after working. Off for the next few days.

Walty

Walty Good luck! Hope you get your 2 ounces

Jv15 Thanks for your advice along the way. Do I trim before hanging ? Or after drying ?

Walty

Walty You can trim wet or dry. I usually like to remove the fan leaves when they are wet and trim the sugar leaves when they are dry. This time I plan to do everything wet. Definitely read up on this at growweedeasy.com. A good cure takes time and they must dry slowly.

Day: 85

Probably going to harvest in about 2 weeks. Gave it a heavy trim to allow light to pass through a bit more. Just ready to move onto my Europe seeds

leland3471

leland3471 I was actually just reading not to trim during flower for that purpose. During veg all is good. I’ve been using the LST technique to spread the light love.

Jv15 I actually have done it 2 times before this and it responded very well. I’m surprised. I’m flushing now and going to harvest in a week or so !

Walty

Walty How are your buds coming JV? Close to harvest?

Happy holidays gang ! Here’s the update with me... Fatter circurmference on my plants. Trimmed the Lower portion of the plants too. Probably looking at a harvest in like 2-3 weeks

Day: 75

There’s buds everywhere. Pretty wild. What stage am I in? When should I expect a potential harvest date? How do my buds look? Thanks for the help guys

Walty

Walty How long has it been since you flipped to flower? You want those pistils to brown and curl in first....then you start watching the trichomes for harvest day.

Jv15 Man I flipped them about a month ago. Still white white and straight hairs. Some have orange hairs though

Walty

Walty Whatever the breeder says for flowering time, I usually tack on 3 weeks. I count from the flip to 12/12. So if you have a relatively fast strain at 8 weeks, assume you’ll need 10-11 weeks.

The buds are getting fatter. Best thing I have ever considered was super cropping. Awesome results.

Walty

Walty 👍👍. Great to see that it’s working out! They were some lanky gals.

Jv15 Hell yea they were

leland3471

leland3471 Damn. They look great.

Day: 71

Supper cropped to make canopy’s even. Pruned the hell out of them too

Walty

Walty That’s what I’d have done. Once they get that tall, you don’t have many options. Good luck!

Day: 70

The size of the buds are finally spreading!! And nice trichomes forming throughout. Finally something interesting!

Day: 68

Rotated my plants today. One thing I learned from this grow is to never overpack your tent. Still training them with the scrog to allow light for the others. Let me know what u think

leland3471

leland3471 Now that I can see them in the light they are lookin pretty good man. I would start trimming some of those leaves lower down near the pots.

Jv15 Yea gave them a nice trim and rotated them. Smells pretty decent. Hoping for a good budding on them

Day: 65

I find myself watering more often and feeding more often. Getting more hairy.

leland3471

leland3471 Ya. Soon as I flipped to flower my plants started drinking a ton more water.

Jv15 Yea that’s what I’m thinking is happening. I’m assuming 2 more weeks max it will start budding

Day: 64

Update for leland and walt. Definitely getting a lot more hairs. Can’t wait to see it thicken up. Sucks that my light can’t hit the top of the plants anymore. Overgrown at its finest

Walty

Walty I’ve never used a machete before, but you might need one for harvest! 👍. She really got big! I’m hoping you salvage some smoke from her.

Jv15 You think it’s getting too late to get thick buds? I have a feeling I might be getting a popcorn bud plant

leland3471

leland3471 Have you trimmed off all the lower fan leaves that aren’t getting light? Lollipop’d? That should force the plants to put more energy into the flowers.

Day: 60

After supper cropping and moving shit to the side it provided more light to get more side growth. No clue why no buds are forming yet. Just pre flowers that are super white and hairy. The pre flowers are getting thicker and thicker. Watered last night and will give more nutes probably tomorrow or the next day. Been letting them get super dry then feeding.

Walty

Walty Do you know the wattage of that grow light? Not the claimed number, but the true wattage from the wall. That’s going to be your challenge during flowering when the plants want a LOT of light.

Walty

Walty Pretty crazy growth, huh? Topping your plants will help to keep them shorter, plus a stronger lamp.

leland3471

leland3471 Hopefully you get some nice buds out of it.

Day: 54

Super cropped two and also trimmed up all of them to allow more light and room. I have no more room for upward growth and I’m pissed. The buds are forming very slow and I hope they flourish soon. Damn

Walty

Walty Don’t let it get you down. Just supercrop and make the best of it. Go back and read on growweedeasy.com to figure out how to improve. You may be able to salvage some.

Jv15 Yea man. I’ll look into that website. Just hope I bud soon and stop growing. Super cropped two

leland3471

leland3471 Wow. That’s a jungle in there.

Upward growth can’t be stopped. Not sure what to do. Buds wanna start forming. I came home from work to 2 plants touching my light. Not sure how I’ll pull this off. Fml this sucks. I bent them under the string to growth outwards a bit but not sure what’s gonna happen

Walty

Walty Look up super cropping

Day: 50

Looking nice as hell

Tyson What nutrients do you use to keep it organic ?

Jv15 Went with some stuff from fox farm. Stopped using others because they weren’t organic. Happy frog nutes too are good and I used them. And organic 100%soil

Day: 47

+1

First signs of flower? It’s been a while since I switched it to flower. Hope this is the first sign of potential crop

Walty

Walty You should see little “budlets” after 2-3 weeks of 12/12. Anything going on when you look up close?

Jv15 White hairs. That’s it

Walty

Walty It will be more obvious in a few days. By week 3, you should have little “budlets ” all over the place

Day: 45

+1

Trimmed my loves and cleaned them up. Found a male in the bunch while doing it. RIP

Walty

Walty That will make some room. Glad you caught that male in your first photo too.

Day: 41

+1

I decided to start netting the top to stop upward growth. Running out of room soon. Not bad for a first grow though. especially a cheap budget grow with fire genetics

Walty

Walty When are you flipping to 12/12 lighting for flowering?

Jv15 I did flip them maybe 2 weeks ago. No signs of flowering yet. Strange. I brought this up to someone else too

Walty

Walty If they weren’t “mature” yet, it can take longer than 2 weeks. You can tell if they are mature based on whether the new branches are directly opposed to each other (immature) or alternating (mature). Hang in there. You have a jungle.

I’m back dawgs!!!!!! Fell off for a bit. I started flowering today 12/12 begins today and flowering nutes. Moved the stragglers to a window to bloom and the OG powerhouses to fill my tent. Let me know what you guys think. I’m done topping them as well due to lack of room.

Leland3471

Leland3471 Lookin good. Might get a little crowded in there.

Walty

Walty You’re running male and female seeds, right?

Jv15 Just females I’m pretty sure. I’ve been checking them and no sign of males

Day: 30

Found a way to get the most out of my veg phase for all my plants. Not bad ! Bushy as hell still and growing thick stems. Not bad for my first time. Or strong genetics!!

Day: 28

Plants are handling the topping and defoliation. Going to give these another 2-3 weeks then flip them Running out of room but I think I can pull it off Let me know what you guys think

Veg week 2 out of 6 + 2 train wreck seedlings.

Jv15 Not sure how far I can push this tiny ass grow room

Leland3471

Leland3471 Yup. Gettin crowded in there. Just gonna have to get a bigger tent!!!

Jv15 Yea I wasn’t planning on it. These things are growing crazy. I wonder how many I can get to 2-3 feet in here. I’m thinking two

Day: 22

Continued growth. Waiting for that time period of explosion rapid growth.

Leland3471

Leland3471 They’re lookin really good!!

Jv15 Thanks friend. Going to have to relocate the stragglers eventually. It’s tight in there. Prob will keep two strongest in there for cloning and such. The others will be introduced to the outdoor greenhouse

Leland3471

Leland3471 Good luck with that.

Day: 21

Day 1 after topping and growth starting to come in. Thick AF growth from bottom. Heavy bush

Day: 19

Waiting for another layer or 2 of leaves before I start topping. Have some peeking through with the other strain franksgift X Professor Moriarty Weak looking seedlings but fat and bushy veg on my CBD plants. Not bad for bagged seeds lol

Leland3471

Leland3471 Those are looking good. Wish I could smell them!!!

Day: 18

Feel like they are growing slow but who knows. Pretty nice looking though

Leland3471

Leland3471 I was having the same feeling about slow growth on mine. They still look healthy though.

Jv15 I think we are just getting to excited and anxious haha

Day: 15

SO IM SCREWED. Lots of plants have thrived and sprouted in these conditions. I have winged it for my first time and kept it at a minimalistic valued approach. Using only fox farm nutes and a simple 200$ setup the plants love it and I won’t have enough room. Will have to improvise down the road. Have other strains going at the same time. Mystery seeds. Let me know how everything’s lookin. Might have a mag deficiency in a few so will add cal mag to next feeding.

Day: 12

Got a new setup to move the seedlings. What do you guys think? How are they looking. Please give me some feedback!

Walty

Walty Looking good! You might have more plants than you need. It’s definitely going to get tight in there. Best of luck with your grow!

Jv15 Thanks man! I’m hoping most are female but I’ll Be happy with one or 2. I didn’t even have to add any of the extra stuff. Literally perfect air current/temp/humidity

Walty

Walty Gotcha! I’m so used to growing feminized that I forget about the regular seeds. Good luck....hope you have a few good ladies there! 👍

Day: 10

+1

Strong stem check and temperature constant. Realized my soil I had was pretty old so I supplemented with an organic fertilizer. 1/4 dose for nutrients. Will see how they liked it in two days when they get the next watering. If the start to show signs of negativity... will flush it out.

pcarver Looks very wet there. What’s your set up? I can help a little.

Jv15 So basically I might have overwatered. I’m going to let it sit for a bit and completely dry. This is a makeshift seedling setup with a fluorescent light. Have a 2x2x4 grow room on the way with a 600 bloomspect light. Have the typical fan and humidity set up as well. I’m using the fox farm trio only for my nutrients.

pcarver Try coco coir mix with perlite. You will be able to water and feed everyday without overwatering. Lots of fan movement. Keep humidity around 50%.

Day: 9

+1

Second layer of leaves forming nice on a few. Jeez I hope I can pull this off with bare minimum

Walty

Walty Hi JV.....off to a good start. You asked for feedback, so here is what I see. As you up-pot, you may want to add more perlite to your soil mix to get better draining soil. I like at least 20-30 percent perlite in my 5 gallon pots. Also, what’s the plan for the two seedlings in one cup?

Jv15 Thanks for the follow and help ! Basically haven’t transplanted into another container simply. Probably will tomorrow. Didn’t expect all seedlings go sprout so god damn strong

Walty

Walty I would normally wait until the leaves are hanging over the side of the cup before up potting, so there’s no rush. You have time. Just for my reference, What’s your setup? Lights? Tent size? How many plants are you hoping to grow? Nutrients that you plan to use (don’t do it yet).
