Gelato Auto in Coco + Outdoor seasonal grow
2021
5 x gelato auto’s in coco in 3x3 tent with 240watt quantum board. Potting up rather than starting in final pots this grow to see if any yield gains can be realized. Last grow = 365grams or 1.52g/watt, 434g/m2.

Day: 54
Oldest two concentrating on building flowers from now on. Smaller three still stretching but almost done growing in size, which is ok as tent is getting crowded. Need to deal with increasing humidity before flowers take over tent and become susceptible to mold issues.

So worked out what was causing the leaf drooping. Overwatering and root rot were suggested but thought that wouldn’t be it as growing in airpots in coco would make that difficult. Turns out I had the quantum board leds waaay to close to the canopy. Only 6inches above and I don’t even know why I had them that close. Put them back up to 14 inches and the plants have responded well. Accidentally topped one of the younger ones when doing some lst so that will be an unintended experiment on the effects of topping an auto at 7 weeks in. Otherwise they are stretching and filling space, which is becoming limited. Canopy is flat as a pancake with lots of future bud sites making use of the space.

Continuing lst and feeding. Bigger plants showing pistils. Growing as they should be. No root rot, rather taking pictures with white leds on makes them looks pale and heavy lst maybe makes them look ‘droopy’. Check out 2nd picture for actual colour. Happy with progress and looking forward to flowering.

topwaterjunkie LST does not cause enough stress to create a droop like that IMO. There is a good chance that something else is stressing them out! Just a heads up

Day: 39
Potted two remaining photos up to 10gallon fabric pots and moved outdoors. Then potted younger 3 Gelatos up to their final airpots and started lst. One gelato is actually in a 3gallon fabric pot as I only have 4 airpots. All seems to be going pretty well and there are no signs of any problems. Have the tent environment and feeding schedule dialed in atm.

Next task will be to pot up larger Gelatos to 15l airpots, then start lst. Need to get the 2 in soil outside in the next week or so to free up space for the 5 autos to fill.

Will pot up the AH to 10gallon pots and put outside tomorrow. Fingers crossed they can ride out the outdoor conditions and produce a massive harvest in 4-5months.

3 more Auto Gelatos added to the tent. Four photoperiods in soil will go outside eventually and 5 Gelatos in coco will stay indoors. Originally planned to add 3 random auto flowers from msnl seedbank auto mix but seeds were bunk and 0/10 germinated.
