Any questions feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to answer and update this as needed. Had a dwarf mutant pop up in seeds I’ve been breeding for years. Let’s self pollenate this plant and get some dwarf plants! Statistics and conditions Clones were rooted in a 10ml:1000ml solution of Coca Cola ; with IBA. Vegged under 150w HPS(with side lighting) for 2 weeks in 4 inch pots. On day 15 the plants were switched to 3(plastic) and 5 gallon(fabric) pots. 14 inches tall on day 15(of bloom) Temp:17-23c RH:45% Nutrients:AN PH perfect 3 part, nirvana, kushie kush, big bud, carbohydrates, b vitamin complex, MgSO4 Total power: 650w 3.5umol UV, >700umol ~40% 601-700nm 4.2% 701-800nm Co2 and sulphur oxide generation (Awaiting tester for co2 PPM) One plant was treated with PBZ, IBA, 6BAP on day 7 of bloom. On day 32 of bloom this plant was fed with 200ppm of GABA, and 500ppm of HB. This plant is by far producing the thickest buds at day 36. One plant was treated with GBA3 to induce male flowers on day 7 of bloom. Pollen was collected and this plant was moved to a tent for revegging. Strain statistics Purple rain Lineage : purple kush self 5 generations, crossed with MK ultra, self 4 generations 22-27% thc 0.5%thcv 0-1%cbd 11-13 weeks flowering time 300-500g/m2 Terpenes: myrcene, α-caryophyllene

Decided to extract some dna from the leaves of my mutant cannabis plant to preserve and to learn about the process more. I was incredibly excited to find that under my microscope I was able to see DNA! I then stained some of the dna sample with methylene blue and backlit with 365nm UV light to reveal chromosomes. One is nearly perfect with minor unravelling the other is unraveled in such a way we can actually see the DNA curling away from it!

Let’s get this out of the way, if you’re using soil your soil has a Ppm rating unknown to you, making it easy to “over feed” If you use inert soil or hydroponics; as long as you slowly up your concentration, and have the absolute correct ph, “over feeding” is rarely the issue. Check your ph THEN check your Ppm , if your ph is off it doesn’t matter what your Ppm is, your plants will suffer.

I’m really enjoying this mutation, it’s stable through cloning so far. I don’t expect this trait to show up in the s1 seedlings but I do expect it to reappear in the s2 generation. After that it’s possible to have it be a stable phenotype and new cultivar.

Average height is 14 inches tall. Plants are 12 inches from the light. I might have to change my co2 generator soon, it’s been running for over 2 weeks now. The light green one is fine, it was treated with GBA3, that’s just how they look for weeks after treatment.

Creepall Hi, I would love to know more about breeding and you seem to know what you are doing! Did you force this plant to express hermaphroditism by yourself or was this pure luck? I was also wondering how you already know that these seeds will all be feminised? 🤯
dinin I’m more than happy to provide any information. I forced these plants to produce herm flowers using GBA3 and a little light stress. Because I forced this trait, this won’t be a naturally occurring trait in the seeds. Feminization, well the herm flowers only have access to XX genes, and the plant is XX , so the seeds must be XX+XX=XX. Males are Xy , which go Xy+XX=Xy/XX. We can use things like punnet charts to accurately predict gene expression
