Flowering

No water today as she’s measuring between moist and wet. I will start the 2-week flush on the next water as her deadline is in 2 weeks. Need to get these finished up so the autos can go in. I realise she’s still quite ‘young’, but work is due to start in the back garden and I don’t want to risk anything.

Day: 93
Flowering

Hashboy gave these a thorough flush two days in a row using bottled water. New PH pen arrived. After calibrating the new pen, we learned that the old one was 0.7 out, which means my ph was always too low. 😞 He’s mixed up new feed at 6.4 and picked off dead leaves. 🍂 He also took some new photos showing the green leaves that are starting to emerge at the back of the plant.🍃

So, the issue has been uncovered. It’s a PH issue. New PH pen has been ordered and she’s had her soil flushed and will have another flush tomorrow then a feed with properly PH’ed water and nutrients.

No water today. ♥️ My partner’s children turned off the plug that the tent uses. Plants had no light for 22 hours until yesterday morning. They had about an hour and a half before lights automatically switched off again. I’m not happy. Tent back on last night as schedule at 100% power. She seemed to enjoy it because she was noticeably taller. Quite a few more white fuzzy tendrils today.

No water. Small sign of flowering coming?!
GrNadeGrade 💣 If this🪴 is an Auto-flower, then, yes it can be interpreted as beginning stages of flower. However, if it’s a Photoperiod (Feminized), then all she’s doing is showing her female parts. You will have to manually flip your light cycle to 12/12 in order to trigger flowering in Photoperiods.
HashGirl Light was flipped 12-ish days ago. My two older plants are photoperiods and the other is showing signs that flowers are coming. 🥹
Day: 70

I *think* she’s showing signs of gearing up to flower. She was given 600ml of feed/water. Ph 6.2. Per 2 litres. All the usual suspects plus 1 tsp of liquid seaweed.

Day: 69
Vegetating

No signs of flowering. No water today as she had some liquid seaweed yesterday.
Rastaman grows How long ago did you change your light schedule? And is she auto or photo?
HashGirl She’s the photoperiod one. Light was switched 10 days ago. The other plant is really starting to show signs of beginning to flower.
combatmedic81 Sometimes they take time. I have Dante’s inferno flowering right now and she takes about 13-14 days to show after the 12/12 switch
Day: 68
Vegetating

Despite the stress, she is still growing. Noticeable height difference over the last few days. Will give seaweed foliar spray and see what happens. Still no signs of gearing up to flower. Maybe because of stress, dunno. Update: sprayed down with liquid seaweed and water. Recommended dosage on bottle: 10ml per litre.

Day: 67
Vegetating

Flushed her roots again this morning. Runoff was nearly identical coming out as going in. 🤷♀️ I’m out of ideas. She’s still growing, just very pale. I will increase the nutrients on next feed in case it is actually a deficiency. She has new growth, but no signs of flowering yet. I read a blog post this morning that it might be a lack of nitrogen - I will pick up some liquid seaweed after work. On further research, a website describes a lime green appearance for plants suffering from nitrogen deficiency. 🍋🟩

Average Ph: 5.9. 600ml water/no feed. New growth is green, but not deep green. 1sp magnesium sulphate/2 litres.

six A friendly tip, your plant is locking out nutrients, your ph is too low, yellow leaves and purple stocks are a sign of stress. Raise ph if in soil to 6.5. Coco you want 6.0.
HashGirl I’m confused. Ph of what I put into the plant usually is 6.3 ~ 6.5. Comments have come in saying it’s too high that I should aim for 5.9 to 6. Today’s PH of 5.9 is a one off. I had flushed the plant within the last 2 weeks and let her dry out in case it was too much water causing the issue. Then others have said its lack of magnesium despite being given calmag in every feed. I will try raising her Ph to 6.5. The other plant I have is starting to flower and she’s had exactly the same treatment, but not experiencing the same issue.
HashGirl She’s also had magnesium foliar spray on a few occasions.

Took around 2 litres to saturate the substrate and get a little bit of run off to start flowing. Have put a plant pot riser underneath to allow air flow. Average Ph of feed/water 6.27. Could have gone lower, but I’m short on time today.

combatmedic81 Do you have pot risers under them so they don’t just suck up the run off?
HashGirl I’m waiting for them to come. I ordered them last week, but I also have extra clip hangers that I was thinking of using to raise the pot slightly to allow full drainage.
combatmedic81 The pot risers should do the trick, but raising them more should not hurt

400ml feed. Ph: 6.03. No pics, no electric (neighbour next door accidentally cut through the electric cable). Increased light to 80%. She’s responding to the light and the change because she’s stretched quite a bit.
. You growing in coco coir?
HashGirl 70% coco coir and 30% perlite. Next grow I will be using Canna Coco Pro. Found this grow difficult due to the coco. In the past, I’ve used potting soil mixed with perlite.
. Oh ok I get that, I’m better in coco than soil. I noticed the ph so I asked, if may offer some advice I’d say lower your ph to 5.8 and feed calmag with every feeding. Also you should never be giving plain water unless you’re flushing and I like to increase ph to 6.0 in flower because it makes the P more accessible 👍🏾

Definitely showing signs of magnesium deficiency today. Epsom salts will be arriving this evening. Soil has mostly dried out. I will supplement extra magnesium on the next feed; either this evening or tomorrow morning. Update: Made a spray with magnesium and spritzed the leaves while lights were out so she has time to dry before the lights come back on at 6pm.

No water or nutrients as soil is quite damp. I feel like I am ruining this one for some reason. I will give her a couple of days of no water. Roots are coming out of the bottom of the pot, so I know the roots are healthy - will let her dry out. She is also going very pale.
combatmedic81 Try giving her Epsom salt to increase magnesium which the deficiency can show as yellowness
HashGirl The odd thing about this is that she is fed exactly the same as Apple Fritter. I’ll add the Epsom salts to my shopping list. Thanks. ☺️

DevilsJoker Are you giving it nutrients yet? Looks hungry
HashGirl Yes. I’m feeding according to the Bio-bizz schedule. I haven’t fed in a day to a day in a half because the pot was wet and having a good bit of run off in the tray. I recently added calmag to the feed to address the yellowing leaves and seems to have solved it. I gave a little bit of water and feed this morning. I was planning to mix up a new batch of feed and top up the pots.
HashGirl Water and feed is every 2nd day to avoid over watering and over feeding.

Increased the light to 60% last night and moved the sensors around as well as calibrated to a temperature and humidity clock. Seems it has helped as there was a noticeable change in plant appearance.
