From Rags to Riches

Two beautiful Sativa’s in poor shape I’m going to bring back to gold standard.

Day: 3

These two look 1000 times better than they did 3 days ago. Still some PM or something like it on a few of the leaves. I trimmed a little more while drinking my morning coffee. The Apple cider and water is doing very nicely. I may add it to an off cycle foliar spraying for the other girls. Does a great job at just cleaning the leaves of junk. I’m still going to do a wash of baking soda today but for now they are going to hang on the patio and wait for their feeding. I have decided to water these girls with a different set of nutrients than the Golden Girls. This plant will eat a mix of fish fertilizer, flora micro, and cal mag every other watering. In between she will get a tea made of beneficial bacteria. The 3 gal pot + coco/perlite and sand is keeping them saturated looks like well into 4 or more days.

wiffybead Props for the progress and hopefully you can edge them back to full health and a solid harvest. I have to admit, I get more satisfaction battling an afflicted plant then easing along with a super healthy one. I guess i just like the battle and satisfaction of bringing them back from the edge of death. God syndrome? 😈

ProjectDreamland Nail on the head. These two have been so much fun to practice diagnosing and trying the proper application on. Hours of enjoyment for OCD people like me.

Day: 2

Mood: Relaxed. In the garden with King Tubby. Plants: remember that episode where Lucy and Ethel got in the baking flower fight but it was really powdery mildew. Silly girls now Ricky has to spray you with apple cider and water and possibly a baking soda mix. Shit let’s just get us some milk. Either way it looks like it was old or never caught on fully.

Day: 2

8 am: 1 large cup coffee + 1 medium PR Sativa = Even more defoliation today. They are starting to look like beautiful bonsai babes. Lucy had a hard split at an early topping it looks like. The plus side is she has a half manifold that I just gently pushed all the way in that direction. A little duct tape wrap and some more supports these are looking awesome. Ethel is rocking on from her super cropped main stem. Staying on the patio for the days then inside. Gonna do this till the end of the week. Watering every 2-3 days.

Day: 1

+6

So, these ladies were in poor shape when I was given them today. Strong survivors but in need of serious attention. I started with defoliation of dead leaves and damaged tips, then moved on to leaves that had no chance or use. Lucy is a tall. Total star quality. That’s why she is the bell of this Ball... 😏. Her supposed genetics are SuperJack, something I have not had yet and will have to seek out so I can verify this in the end. Ethel is probably a little healthier than Lucy but probably 4 weeks younger. Limp lady, she was inevitably super cropped by accident during some training... oops my bad.... 🤬. Guess I’m adding that technique to this grow subconsciously because it happen again on one of the Golden Girls. Both will benefit from these happy accidents. Do I look worried? No, Anyways Ethel is PCH also possibly known as Pineapple Chunk Hybrid. Upon my research, if she in fact is, everything about her medical and cognitive applications could be a great service to me personally. Transplanted into 3 gal pots with their fucking massive cubes attached. Filled in with coco and then added a nice starting layer of sand. Always foliar spraying with Plant Therapy and HB, always.... seriously. Both strains boast their resistance to molds and other sicknesses but all that aside, these girls are ratchet AF. I can’t tell if it’s calcium from dried up hose water or powdery mildew. These girls are going to stay away from the grow room entirely for a week. I need to quarantine them until I know they won’t infect the Golden Girls with something. I plan on hardening them starting tomorrow by letting them bathe in sunlight for a few hours here and there. Did some really cool LST on Lucy and hopefully I’ll be able to make her bush up vertically, evenly. Flushed each pot with 5 gal of water, ph of 6.0, mixed with flora clean. I may flush again tomorrow with these two because the cube is so big it needs to be cleaned thoroughly. Plan is to try something different with their nutes. I may just use beneficial microbes and this fish fertilizer I use on vegetables. Totally organic and can work towards organic micro nutrients. We will see. Either way they will veg alongside the Golden Girls and be put into flower at the same time. Hopefully I will also be able to pull some nice clones and spread the wealth to a friend in need.
