Random seeds

Winter 2019

Coming from a random seed jar I’ve had. Just practicing on these really. I’ve only grown and harvested maybe 2-3 times and that was over 5 years ago

No clue

Day 70 (Week 10)

Day: 70

+2

Day 8 of Flower Switched lighting to 11/13 based on DJ shorts information. Also added another 300W VIPARSPECTRA light 18 1/2” away from top canopy. I took off some lower colas that’s weren’t gonna produce more or that weren’t gonna make it to the canopy. This plant is still pretty bushy I’m spots but I don’t wanna do anything to it to cause any issues. Temp:72-86 Humidity: 35-42 Fed 1 gallon of calmag and big bloom got a very light run off.

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 She’s looking good, she past day 8 though based on the size of the buds and u can still defoliate lightly but avoid damaging growth tips (buds). I think she’s maybe past 2 weeks. Try to remember when u first saw all the white hairs starting and add a week to that. Just my opinion

Day: 62

+1

Light 12/12 30” away from top soil 20” away from canopy Temp:73-84 Humidity: 39-42 Switched to flower lighting yesterday due to the amount of white hairs, she is producing. No feed, Watered til run off. Took off some colas that weren’t looking like they were gonna make the canopy.

DaxIsDamned Wow she actually recovered into a great looking plant 👌🏽

Day: 55

Raised the light to 29 inches away from the top soil. Lights currently 20" away from plant canopy. I LST everything back down to 9" 18/6 lighting (Thinking about taking an hour away til 12/12 starting Saturday) Temp: 74-84 Humidity: 33-44 Since last plant has been deflowered once, and topped. Also added lady bugs since I noticed some pest in my tent.

NickYo

NickYo What kind of pest’s?

Anomalist Springlings and then some black flying bug appeared. Started using a organic soapy water blend but then just decided to get a round of lady bugs.

NickYo

NickYo The black bug is a Fungus gnats and you can get rid of them by breaking up your watering schedule. Basically let the pot dry out before watering. The plant will be fine but the bugs need moisture to lay and hatch eggs. The other bug I haven’t dealt with yet. but I have used this technique and it works great.

Day: 43

Light 18/6 and 20” away from top soil Temp: 75-81 Humidity: 35-45 Set up iPhone in the tent with a time lapse going. Adjusted LST spots and bending directions. Gave a 2 1/2 cup feeding with no run off. Topped main cola. Hoping it boost other growth a lot with a new cola. Debating on topping the other colas that are approaching the rim of the pot. Noticed some discolored tips and some fan leaf stems starting to look a bit rustic in spots. Not really sure why. I diluted my feeding gallon but I’m wondering if it might be from a lack of not to much of a nutrient

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 You should add some pics of her in regular light. If she has “rustic” tips that’s usually nutrient burn and you should be getting runoff when u feed/water

Day: 42

Light 18/6 and 20” away from top soil Temp: 73-81 Humidity: 36-42

Day: 41

Light 18/6 and 20” away from top soil Temp:72-77 Humidity: 39-45 Noticed some yellow tips in spots while looking through the leaves. Diluted the current gallon feed for next watering. Also noticed a ton of springtails. So I’m gonna try and let the soil dry out more. Overall she’s doing great. Took a few leafs off to allow light on the lower areas since last posting

Day: 39

Light 18/6 and 20” away from top soil Temp: 75-81 Humidity: 35-40 Moved LST on main cola. Propped up the cola that randomly split to 2 and same to the other larger one. I’ve got Atleast 5 good cola sights with 2-3 more below

Anomalist Did some slight deflowering to hopefully get some stretch and growth on these lower colas.

Day: 38

Light 18/6 and 20” away from top soil Temp: 73-77 Humidity: 43-47

Anomalist Gave 2 cups of feed from my gallon of grow big and calmag. No run off. Took everything out and disinfectant wiped the whole tent. And moved LST spot to keep the fan leaf down so lower growth can have some more light without having to take anymore leaves off her.

Day: 37

Light 18/6 and 20” away from top soil Temp 75-81 Humidity 45-52 Adjusted LST holding and plucked 2 leaves (7finger) leaves off main cola to hopefully expose newer lower growths to more light and to catch up.

Anomalist Ps it’s a girl!

NickYo

NickYo Beautiful

Day: 36

Light is 18/6 and 20” away from top soil Temp 74-82 Humidity 43-55 Looking like the real bushy side has somehow actually become 2 colas randomly from the one. Also a ton of growth going on daily. Also check out the up close pic of the small cola that’s reaching farther out, I know it’s to soon to tell sex but I’m really hoping it’s female. Wish the plant was a bit taller so I could have some Better LST bending without leafs touching soil. I had to cut a leaf for touching. Also the dots on the plant are from ash and coffee grounds I added to the top soil and the fan had a hay day with when I was adjusting it.

Anomalist Also gave a 3 cup feeding Of my calmag/grow big blend. Do you guys also give nutes or give breaks of water in between. Watering about every 3 days.

NickYo

NickYo Looking amazing. 🙏🏼

Anomalist How often would you feed vs water?

18/6 lighting at 20” away from top soil Temp:76-82 Humidity:43-53 Plant seems to be doing well. You can see both newer colas are doing okay. One is growing out well but the other is shorter and covered in leaf growth. You can see from my first photo the difference from behind

NickYo

NickYo Looking good

Dukeshaba I can’t believe it made it and looks this goos

Anomalist I’ve tried my best

Day: 34

Light 18/6 and 20” from top soil Temp 75-82 Humidity: 42-50 Started some LST this morning

Anomalist Also gave a 2 cup watering. Since soil was dry and container was light.

NickYo

NickYo Nice nice

Day: 33

+1

Temp:75-82 Humidity: 40-51 Lighting: 18/6 20” away from top soil Temperatures got WAY TO LOW when I moved the grow tent to the garage. Hit about 55. I moved it back inside yesterday when I came home to a sad droopy leaves. She’s perked back up, I cut the 2 lower 3 finger leafs off that were hurting. I gave the plant a 1 cup watering with a little over 0.5ml of calmag around the base of the plant. Hopefully that will help correct some of its issues. Then added in 3.5ml of calmag into my feed gallon with grow big in it. Hopefully now this plant can actually prosper!

NickYo

NickYo I can’t believe the hell this plant has been through and it’s still wants to live. You must be doing something right. But I would start low stress training and evening out the new tops. Make sure to anchor the base of your stem.

Day: 30

Moved tent to my garage so I could open it up to 4ft tall and keep the temp down. I have a soil warming pad in the tent for when the weather gets cold cold here in the Midwest. Transplanted the plant from the Halloween bucket to a 3Gal pot and gave it water til run off. I blended a gallon of water with 1.5 teaspoons of “grow big” Plant is under 18/6 lighting with light 20” away from top soil.

DaxIsDamned Kudos for bringing this one back from the dead. I’m curious to see how things turn out. You may need to add some cal-mag. I could be wrong but the yellowing in the leaves looks kinda like a calcium deficiency starting.

Anomalist Was hoping to find a local place with it. Can’t find it so I’m gonna have to transfer some money and order some

Anomalist Anyone know any ways to add cal and mag to hold me over til I get calmag in

Temp 70-88 Humidity 34-66 Trimmed this morning before work. Photos are 9 hours later It’s looking ALOT better over all. Still some leaves are damaged but over all looking so much better.

DaxIsDamned I am so surprised that this thing is still kickin lol nice man

Day: 27

NEW/GREENER growth spotted!!! It’s bouncing back with the light, I think but just Incase. Temp: 73-88 Humidity: 35-70 I added 1 tablespoon of garden lime and an new top soil layer of some organic grow mix I had. gave a 2 cup plain watering with 1/3 cup run off with ph that tested at 6.5 I’ve got some grow big coming that will be here Tuesday. Gonna have to wait 2 weeks to buy calmag. I also topped off my ceramic cup with water that’s in the tent along with adding a damp wash cloth. Temps should be dropping here in the Midwest soon hopefully that will also help with tent temp

Anomalist Got some dirt on the leaves in the process. It’s not mites!

Anomalist Really considering trimming off the badly damaged parts.

Anomalist Added photo of the 3 I’d cut. There is also another smaller one tucked under you can’t see in this one is cut(it’s already a goner)

Day: 26

New light came in and is set up. Has been on for a few hours. Plant leaves have starter to curl up a bit I’ve noticed. Hoping this light can bring back some life. Gave a plain watering til run off yesterday. 18/6 lighting Temp since light has stayed at a even 86 Humidity has gone down in the tent with a 37-39

Anomalist Just Moved the fan, and opened the back flap to hopefully drop the temp a bit

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 The advice ppl give should be researched. Again I point out it’s not a problem of light. The light is actually causing u more problems now, the leaves curling and humidity dropping is because of the heat the light is putting off. I can fix those two problems by simply hanging a damp rag in the temp. The reason your plant is dying though is because it needs calmag. U don’t have salt build up, it’s a deficiency. Look up the weed leaf symptoms chart it might help u

Day: 24

+1

Temp 77-79 Humidity 45-47 I added a red solo cup of coffee grounds to the tent yesterday. Gave it a light watering around the base of the plant yesterday to try and hoped flush out the possible salt build up. Top leaves started to green a bit but also got some brownish spots forming. I’ve got more seeds germinating, just Incase we are just watching this plant die. Still seems to add some growth. New light will be in Saturday. SCROG net on the way, although I won’t need it for what feels like forever

Anomalist Thought about possibly trimming off some of the bad growth and seeing if the plant bounces back once the new light comes in

NickYo

NickYo Honestly ya I would say go for it. Just don’t cut what’s green still. Only take off what’s basically dead.

Anomalist Prolly just gonna do the top two 5 finger leaves

Temp 73-81 Humidity 50-54 Last night I made the holes on the bottom a little bigger. Also gave a nice flush of bottled water. Moved the lights down closer since I’m only running about 100 W total til I can get afford better lights. Also the bigger over head light is on a 18/6 timer but for the last 36 hours I have left the wands on. Just trying to boost my chances of this one. I blended a gallon of feed 3 tablespoons of organic superthrive (4-1-1), 1 tablespoon of root and grow (4-10-3) I’m debating on be ordering a kit of cannabis nutes this Friday and/or lsome led grow strips to boost the light.

Anomalist Also added a handful of used Coffee grounds to my soil to hopefully boost nitrogen levels a bit more. Also my water ph came out to about 6.0

Dukeshaba That is way to much food for a baby man. And leaving the lights on all night doesn’t help them they need time to rest.

Dukeshaba Lights are way more important than nutes. Spend the money to get a real light bro. Those sticks and stuff are no good they say 20 watts but are like 1 real watt. I had some 125 watt bulbs, 3 75 watt led grow lights and 2 purple 75 watt lights going and it did nothing. Babies need like nothing you put them in and water when dry (won’t be more than maybe 1/4 cup) once or twice a week.

Temp:77-81 Humidity: 49-50 Top leaves are starting to turn green. All is not lost yet.

DaxIsDamned Dude I’m surprised. I knew cannabis was a hardy plant but I really didn’t think that seedling was going to live lol. Do you plan on keeping it in that pumpkin bucket it’s whole life?

NickYo

NickYo Also are you feeding it anything?

Anomalist It prolly will stay in the pumpkin it’s whole life. Slowly adding the supplies I need in my tent. Next will be better nutes. I grabbed a transplant/root boost feed and some organic feed that I’ve blended with some Epsom salt and ph to 6.2. Just left for work or id list name and ratios.

Day: 19

Humidity: 45-52 Temperature: 68-73 Still can’t decide if this plant is a lost cause or what I should do. Plant seems to still be producing growth.

DaxIsDamned What kind of nutrients do you have? You may consider adding just a tiny bit (like 1/4 recommended strength).

Anomalist Like give it less nutes? I’ve just given it water with some root growth hormone and Epsom salts added. Since I have it some organic from the store food in the beginning

Day: 17

Morning of 17. Turned on my soil warmer pad last night. Temp didn’t drop below 72 in the tent while outside go down to 35. Light still under 19/5 just an hour of blue light from wands before the red/blue above kick on.

Anomalist I’m starting to doubt this plants survival chances

Nissans It needs small amount of nutes.

Anomalist I’ll feed it tonight when I get home from work. Thank you! That’s what I thought but I had given it some lightly 2 days ago and the coco coir is still moist.

Day: 17

Although i assume this plant won’t make it long and have other seeds germinating. I’m gonna try to. Today I Fed the plant, as it looked like it needed some lite nutes. The 2 aux leaves were more than 50% affected so I took them off. mixed coco coir and perlite in the Halloween tub. Then transplanted the plant into it and fed water with just root hormone mixed in. Plant is still under 19/6 lighting with just the 22W LED wands (on blue) on an hour early before the overhead red/blue 80W Led light kicks on. (Blue wands only run for 12 hours) Plant is also on a seed warmer pad. Since it’s been added my tent stays at a almost perfect 72. Even for being in the attic and 35 degree lows Temp: 72-73 Humidity: 47-52

Day: 15

Got my grow tent set up. Only had some slight difficulties. Plant also got knocked over at some point. I repacked the soil and gave a light watering with some root hormone. Atleast I got to see that the plant has a pretty little set of roots. Hopes this doesn’t set me back to long. Also never really seen a plant have this much new growth at all its joints! And looks like my FIMing is turning into 3 new colas? Lighting: 18/6 Temp:77-81 Humidity: 48-59

Day: 14

+2

Temp: 68-75 Humidity: 36-42 Lighting: 18/6 full spectrum LED with about an extra 1-2 hours of just blue light LED. I raised the lights 6” today to hopefully promote a little height growth I gave it a little bit of water this morning. My grow tent(2x2x4) and I ordered a seed heating pad (10”x 20”) that can be used to keep soil temperatures prime as well. Open to ideas or advance. This is my first solo grow

Anomalist Also wondering if I now have 3 colas or if I have 2 coming out the side and a set of leafs in the middle.

Day: 13

+1

Is it possible to just cut the dead part of the leafs off from giving it nutes to soon? Light is still under 18/6 I’ve been kicking just a blue light 24w LED on a few hours early. The spot from where I FIMed seems to producing a interesting surprise for me. Can’t wait to see how that grows out. Also read that you shouldn’t have it in a clear container due to roots and light not being so fond together. So I put a red solo cup around it. Plant does have some pretty solid and nice root growth. Down about 1/3 of this venti Starbucks cup.

Anomalist Also the previous leaf and stem points all have new little growth at those points

NickYo

NickYo Leave the leafs alone. Although they might look ugly your plant can still use it. When it need more nutrients down the road it will take from the bottom growth to help produce new growth.

Anomalist Thank you! I also read that you don’t want to get rid of the leafs unless they are more than 50% affected.

Day: 12

The morning of day 12. Plant seems to be a female, as well as 2-3 new colas. I’m glad to see the plant recovering well!

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 How can you tell it’s a female already?

Anomalist I really can’t, mainly just hoping, but it’s got 2 leaf like strings coming from the steam of leaf and stem on the lower set.

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 I’ve read that it’s not possible to tell until week 4+. I’m tryna figure out if my two coma clusters are male or female

Day: 11

Plant seems to be recovering well from my burning it by feeding nutes to soon. As well as to me FIMing it Plant is under 18/6 lighting, with some bending LST

Day: 9

Plant is still under 18/6 lighting with fan on it. Looks to be recovering some color. Definitely showing signs of burn from being fed to early! Hopefully this last flush watering will help. Also tried topping prolly ended FIMing it. I know it was a bit early but mainly just wanted to see what happens. The plant seems to be handling all the stress well overall!

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 Try to wait until maybe 4-5 nodes next time before u fim. Fiming is used to make them bush out what’s below the spot u fim so if it’s nothing below then it’s kinda pointless.

Anomalist Right! I know I should have waited. The downside to being bipolar and not have patience! I appreciate your help I really do! I enjoy seeing your name comment I’ve got so many questions

Day: 8

I fed the plant to soon I realize with the neon color. I let the soil dry could have held off a day on watering but I wanted to flush the soil so I did a light watering in this coco coir with distilled bottle water. Plant is still under 18/6 lighting. With one full spectrum red/blue 60w LED and 2 32 led full spectrum red/blue, with only blue on. Both lights are about 6” from plant. I have a fan blowing on it. I started some slight LST today. I bent the plant one way with a small post, then tonight I put it in the other way.

Day: 7

On a 18/6 light cycle, hasn’t been feed in 2 days; coco soil still feeling pretty heavy

Day: 6

The morning of 6. Plant still remains under 24 hour blue/red lighting and 2 blue light wands. Did not water yesterday, I tend to drown a plant or two from time to time.

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 It’ll grow better under 18/6 lighting. 20-24 is better for autos

Anomalist Appreciate it!

Mystrain420

Mystrain420 Also sorry to keep butting In maybe u should try coco it’s great for ppl who over water I’m using it on some of my current grows. It’s almost impossible to over water
