Professor Chag I don’t think I’m going to train my autos this run. Maybe defoliation but that’s it. I have 9 under a 300 watt light. Not sure if I’ll have room if I start training all of them

RoMag Rasta: What growing medium are you using and how have you been preparing it for your seedlings? If, you don’t mind sharing. I’m having trouble with thrips and some white flies. I lost three of my last seedlings of Bruce Banner Auto. Three of them I just culled and two I have been able to save. But, one looks if-ie. I have been treating the soil with a systemic insecticide before I planted the germinated seeds. What I missed was the nymphs cycle. I have been using Neem oil and also a very weak mixture of a chemical insecticide. I’m thinking that my mixture was too weak. I had only used about 4 drops to a qt of water with about another four drops of Dawn dish soap. I’m going to switch to another insecticide one with pyrethrum and just develop a ridged treatment of soil and plants. If, this doesn’t work then I am scraping the whole grow including soil and pots. Then a complete clean and treatment of the inside of the grow area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Robert.

Rastaman 2.0 I think could be a mix of your soil and the chemicals when using organic soil and you wet it to much it gets unbalanced flies and gnats will come out.i use promix or batmix soil both organic one with nutrients other without and I add my self.some seedlings can’t take heavy mix in soil.If you have discord add me on there I can see and show you what I use add rastaman 19_76.

RoMag Thanks. I’ll move to Discord. I think you hit the nail on the head. I think my soil mix is too heavy. Needs to be more airy. My mixture drains very well and quickly. Almost too quickly, but that can be an advantage. This was just a test run for me trying to dial in certain numbers of things. I’m most likely going to scrap what soil I have used and just start clean. I’ll switch over to Discord.
