Day 104 (Week 15)

Day: 104

WW3 is no more. After battling with insufficient watering, nutrient lockdown, stunned growth, and fighting for light and air, I’ve decided to end it. WW3 is now disposed of and taken out of the tent. Hopefully the space and light room it creates will help the remaining two plants

Day: 93

Oh WW1. She has been mistreated. This week again, plant ran out of water and it took me a couple days (maybe more) to realize it. Leaves are dropping and yellowing. A good portion of the bottom leaves have dried out and died. I’be replenished the reservoir nutrient water and kept the plant ventilated but it’s now touching the lights directly and I fear it might be too late to save it. On the plus side, gettibn rid of it might leave more space and light for the other two. On the minus column, it’s been over three months of growing and nurturing this plant and I’d hate to loose it now. I keep a close watch on it. It it bounces back I. The next couple of days I will keep it. If it doesn’t, that’s it for WW1

ChiT Damn, looks like she just went through a WW1 Battle

Day: 80

Plant remains healthy, waited too long to replenish reservoir. Low levels in water might have stunned growth a bit. Stems have gotten long and stringy as the plant struggles to get enough light. All and all, this remains the shorter and stockier of the three. Added Hydroguard and continue to vent with USB fan from behind.

Day: 75

+1

A massive growth on this plant since the addition of Hydroguard. I’m sure the roots have recovered quite a bit. This plant is starting to grow out of control and keeps getting close to the light without any signs of light burn yet. I did some LST today but it’s so late I the grow I don’t want to shock the place too much. Base leaves are dying and drying due to the lack of light and oxygenation, but the plant feels overall very healthy. No signs of the fungal infection are visible anymore, but it’s starting to block the other plants now.

Day: 66

+1

Plant is getting pretty tall. After defoliating sick leaves plant seemed to be doing pretty good. Got some trouble today refilling the reservoir and splashed some water on in. Hopefully this will not bring back the infection. Plant is still presenting some root rot. I added 5ml of Hydroguard to boost recovery. I hope this plant will transition to flower this week or next at the latest so that’s still three or four more weeks in the cycle.

Day: 62

+1

Plant is presenting some problems. Yellow spots are appearing on the bottom leaves and have some burnt brown tips. It’s unclear what the reason for this could be but my best guess is root rot, possibly due to exposure to light. I e ordered some Hydroguard which I will be adding to the nutrient water next time I flush it. I clipped the sick leaves off the bottom and adjusted the placement a bit. Will double check for light leaks over the weekend. This plant due to the uneven growth has gotten taller and less bushy. More air should be going through this one, and yet it’s still the sickliest.

Day: 58

+1

Plant is healthy. After flushing nutrient water yesterday I accidentally broke the bucket, and had to keep the plant in a smaller bucket. Also the roots were exposed to light more than once. The plant is getting very big and it’s starting to encroach in on other plants. Will have to keep an eye out and maybe consider defoliation. I HOPE the plant might go I to flower in the next couple of weeks before spacing becomes an issue.

Day: 53

+1

Plant seems healthy. Fan leaves have almost doubled in size. No signs of nutrient lockdown. Will be flushing buckets this weekend and adding a drain/level blue tube. Humidity has stabilized after a couple days of fighting it (by turning off the humidifier completely), but now temperature is running a bit high.

Day: 51

+1

Plant looks much healthier. Strength has returned to the leaves and stems. It seems to be growing a bit “stretchy” and tall, but there’s a lot of new growth close to the base. Still some yellow spots on leaves

Day: 50

Miraculously plant seems to have bounced back from nutrient lockdown. DWC had a HUGE positive effect on this one. Switched lid and removed mason jar ring. Also clipped yellow leaves off the bottom. New leaves seem to be forming from the bottom. Still feels a bit stunned and growth has no doubt been delayed due to the lockdown, but it seems to be doing much better now. Some yellow spots have started appearing on leaves and some rust coloration on the “veins” of the leaves as well. Will do some research on it.

Day: 47

Switched plant to DWC. Deficiencies and shock are still visible. Some yellowing on the roots is present. Leaves continue to droop and lower fan leaves are completely yellow. Top leaves look healthier

Day: 42

SOME strength seems to be returning to the plant. Stems feel strong and leaves are green and healthy but the dropping persists. I wonder if it’s “overwatering” and the plant needs more oxygen. I’m considering switching to a DWC grow, but it would require serious modifications.

Jreynoso

Jreynoso Dropping coincided with MaxiGro switch. It might be a form of nutrient lockdown and/or shock. Hopefully it will bounce back

Day: 41

Drooping is getting worse. Flushed half of nute water and filled with fresh 5.5ph neutral water. According to research it looks like shock from nutrient lockdown. Coloration looks fine but it might also be lack of aeration on the root system.

Day: 40

Plant seems healthy despite leaves dropping down. New leaves seem to be appearing. Green and strong. No N deficiency in sight. MaxGro seems to have fixed deficiencies.

Day: 39

Leaves dropped down. Seems healthy. New leaves are green and strong but bottom leaves remain yellow due to N deficiency. Set intake fan to intermittent.

Day: 37

Plant is 5” tall. Switched to MaxiGro and flushed jar. Temp seems stable. Light cycle is 18/6
