Day 90. Don’t know if these are foxtailing or if this is normal. It’s seems a lot of the pistils are turning brown but new ones continue to appear. I’m having a hard time knowing when these will be ready. They’re already past the timeline that I expected them to be done. Any advice out there? 🙏🏼

combatmedic81 Have you checked the trichs for amber? Those white pistils make it look like it still has time

Day: 80

Did some more trimming and pruning and watered with some nutes. I think I still have another week or two to go (at least) I feel like the timeline is kind of slow but just trying to gauge from appearances and trying to be patient. The buds have started to thicken up over the last week so that’s giving me hope that it might bulk up a little and get a decent harvest.

combatmedic81 You got some time bro. Those buds still have a lot of development left

Fed and lightly watered yesterday. Pics are a little deceptive, they are darkening up a bit. I do think they could use more nutrients but I’m trying to let them dry out a little before watering too much

I think we’re back on track. Color is improving, leaves are perked up again, everything is looking better. I’m still waiting for the pots to dry out before I try a little epsom salt but otherwise I’m happy with the improvements

Thanks to some advice on this app, I turned my light down and raised it up a bit. Just trying to get them to recover from defoliation and probably overwatering. Once they’re ready for their next water I will try some cal mag or epsom salt to see if I can remedy some of the yellowing. I took them out of the tent today and cleaned my tent. It’s getting a lot of condensation from being in my garage where it’s still pretty cold. I now added some foam sheets around the tent to hopefully keep that to a minimum. In the natural light you can see that the yellowing is already improving and not as bad as previous days. I think it just needs some time and it’ll bounce back.

Defoliated some of the larger fan leaves 2 days ago. Upset both plants 😭 leaves immediately drooped and curled under. I left them alone yesterday and today gave them a drink of water. They’re looking a little better but I hope they recover and I didn’t stress them too bad.

combatmedic81 Are you waiting till the pot is completely dry before watering?

Grün Garden

Grün Garden Normally I try to wait until it’s fairly dry and the pots feel light, then I water. Probably every 3-4 days I’d say? I watered 3 days ago and it definitely wasn’t super dry but the leaves just looked sad so I gave it a little water today. 🤷🏻‍♀️ they definitely didn’t like the defoliation. I probably shouldn’t have done that 😭

Moved entire tent out to garage. Light increased to 100% but moved up a bit. Watered and added a little bit of plant food (1 tbls. In 3/4 gallon of water) continuing to tuck fan leaves and tied down some of the bottom branches.

Fed yesterday for the first time. I mixed Dr. Earth Pure Gold at half strength. Today I pulled my plants out of the tent and removed some of the lowest shoots that were too low. Other than that, I’m continuing to just tuck the larger fan leaves and pull the newer shoots up to expose them to more light. I will eventually remove more since they’re pretty thick but they are starting to stretch in height now.

Watered generously. Today I started tucking larger fab leaves and tied a couple down. Hoping to increase light to new growth. Still just using water. Haven’t started nutrients yet but plan to start at the next watering. They are starting to get a pretty strong smell and I’m needing to run the charcoal filter more. Still running the clip fan 24/7. Just running filter fan as needed but might start running it constantly if I need to keep the odor down. The issue is it zaps the humidity.

nyqon

nyqon So First they shouldnt smell at all at this point maybe Check for mold etc. Your plan about feeding sounds fine even tho Id transplant into a bigger pot at least 20L+ (fabric is best Imo) but if you do so wait with adding nutrients since the new soil contains too

Grün Garden

Grün Garden No mold. In my experience growing outdoors, they usually start to smell around 3-4 weeks old then get stronger during flower. I just have my tent close to my daughter’s bedroom and want to be extra cautious of the smell. These are 3 gallon fabric pots. Last summer I did some plants outdoor in 3 gal and some in 5 and there wasn’t much of a difference so I did 3s just to save some space and make it easier to move them around if I need to. Thanks for the pointers! Indoor growing is definitely a lot different and I have a lot to learn!

drowziee genetics What’s it smell like can you explain the smell? Maybe he’s thinking it’s root rot idk though looks healthy to me I’ve had some instances with plants smells a bit before even flowering just depends on genetics

Added cups to increase humidity and lowered my light to about 18” above the plants. Trying to keep the temp warm enough has been challenging in my cold basement. I also hooked up the exhaust fan but haven’t started it yet. Plan to do that in the next couple days
