PopeWeazl I just dropped a seed in rockwool of this strain. What ferts are you running now and what EC are you having success at?

Day: 31

Baby leaves started to welt. Pulled them off and replanted in a bigger pot in a 70-30 potting soil-perlite mixture. Watered well with fert mix and koi fish pond water, two-weekly Biogrow insecticide applied to leaves.

Day: 22

Plant is looking strong. Applied some BIO GROW to all the leaves yesterday to get rid of a few spider mites. I might replant it soon into a bigger pot, since it has grown quite a long stem to get out of the current pot, which had too little soil in when I planted the seed, and it’s windy here in Cape Town.

Day: 13

Weird green and red spider looking creatures around but not on plant. Killed 4 of them. The green don’t seem to be spider mites but perhaps the red are. Also removed a small lice looking thing from the bottom of one of the fan leaves. Off the get a bigger pot, some potting soil, perlite, Nitrosol fertilizer and Biogrow Pyrol (red bottle) insecticide.

Day: 13

False alarm. No pests. The small insects around the plant this morning were probably there due due the rain we had. Looking healthy. Soil pH tested at 6.8 even though the koi pond water tested at 8.2. Switching to filtered water with a half dose of Nitrosol from here on out.

Day: 10

The plant is about two inches tall, but has little white spots on the fan leaves. Still watering with koi pond water (pH 8.2 - a wonder the plant is OK. My pH meter could be faulty though, and the batteries died). The plant has been kept on a sunny porch positioned to receive direct sunlight for 2-3 hours very late in the afternoon.

Day: 4

Thursday 22 November 2018: Seed planted in a 2 liter pot in garden soil previously fed with koi pond water. Used a plastic bag with holes in it to cover the pot on the windier days. Kept the top soil moist by dripping a drop or three of koi pond water on it every evening, checking on it every day twice. Temperature kept at about 25 degrees celsius. Sunday 25 November: Seed sprouted!
