5 gallon pot we go, I think I’ll skip the 1 gallon next time. I think she’s a bit short because I have too much light? Feel like she should be taller. Tied down now for LST anyways

Tips? 17klux 0.9 EC 0.6-1.4 VPD

Day: 11

16k lux, watering twice a day @.8 EC. Added silica to her diet. Every time I go by guides online of how much lux I should give, they stretch so ima just go on the high side. She’s also got a little bend due to surviving a fall 😢. If I ever go back and read this, I think 5-6k lux @ sprout and increasing by 1k daily is the way to go.

LeChron James Watering a seedling twice a day is a lot

greenteahoe When should I start twice a day? It’s coco and I’m doing about a shot each time.

LeChron James

LeChron James I’ve been growing in coco for a long time and have never watered twice a day. If you plan to grow in very small pots like 1 gallon then it would be necessary, but in 5 gallon pots even a mature plant only needs water every 1-2 days. Let the coco dry out for a few days, then stick your finger on up to your first knuckle. If you feel any moisture don’t water that day. Roots will not develop on waterlogged coco, and the process the roots go through searching for water makes them stretch, grow, and become stronger.

The survivor is doing fine. Looks healthy. I can tell that she’s much thirstier now.

Day: 6

First daughter broke in half. Can’t tell if it was me, the wind, or a bug. Too young to salvage but lesson learned. Less water, more light. Good news is when I tore into the rapid rooter, she had healthy white roots.

Coming along. Hit with some Recharge and started using a small fan to strengthen the stems. I’m trying to overwater less. Also was watering at too high ph at the start (6.2). Currently at 0.4EC 5.8ph, watering twice a day. 14k lux, 75f, 65%RH

Day: 3

Both of them sprouted. I think the first one is a little leggy so I brought the light up to 10k lux. Watering with a spray bottle @.4EC till runoff three times a day. Probably too much so I will be going down to once a day

Tallboy2023

Tallboy2023 No need for runoff with seedlings. They don't need much.

Day: 1

Finally one sprouted! It’s sibling is a little bit slower. Will start very light nutrient feed tonight
