Day: 67

Chopped the girls 2 days ago and have been drying since. Not a big haul because of the herm incident taking away from crucial last bud growth stages but a lot of seeds were harvested with more to come so silver lining I have seeds to a new strain crossing blueberry and birthday cake which Ive aptly named Eiffel 65. (Fun play on their one hit wonder ‘Blue’ as the blueberry plant pollinated every one else) Bowl on top is the larfy scrim scrams that weren’t worth keeping that I might make into a budder.

bigsammy Really good shots

steezykayla

steezykayla Thanks! Not too shabby for a cheapo clip on lens from the dollar store. Only had to battle shaky hands haha. Gonna let these girls go another 1-1.5 weeks and harvest sometime next week.

Blueberry Issue: Repeated issue thru multiple crops and can’t seem to figure out a diagnosis. First symptom the leaves all start curling down and inwards quite strongly with a copper speckling on the leaves. The copper speckling continues to increase causing the leaves to turn brown and die. It will continue to move inwards towards the bud until eventually causing the buds to “rust” and die. Birthday cake Issue: a weird “spotting” showing up on the edges of leaves.

bigsammy Looks good

steezykayla

steezykayla Haha well thank you 🙏🏼 I’m having some issues with the plants and hoping a fellow gromie might be able to diagnose what’s going on as it seems to be two separate issues

steezykayla

steezykayla Update: I flushed the blueberry, the one that has curling dying leaves, to try and stop any potential toxicities as I’m desperate to not lose her. I’ve lost several plants to this same issue happening on the last previous two grows and I’m stumped at what is happening. It only starts to happen at the very end of its cycle about 7-8 weeks into flower

Disappointed to say my Blueberry hermed and pollinated the entire tent. Posting these for anyone who’s never seen what the male cluster sacs look like. Feeling like it might have been stress from interrupted night cycles a few times forgetting to close the tent up. There’s seeds everywhere even seems to be little seed clusters that have popped up underneath buds as well and they’re quite robust. Some appear to be almost popping out of their seed sac. Silver lining is that I unintentionally created a blueberry birthday cake and I’m gonna have so many seeds not sure what to do with haha

Buds are fattening up a bit since last week. Don’t see any more thrips but gonna do another spray anyway. Found a single leaf that appeared to have what looked like white powdery mildew but not seeing it anywhere else.

steezykayla I only saw it on one leaf and removed it. I’ve got a floor oscillating fan that blows quite heavily on the plants and then I’ve also got a 4” in-line fan with carbon filter pulling air out the window. I don’t have a fresh air intake fan going tho which might be the issue as I keep the door to the room itself almost always closed or else the house stinks up. I’ll look into cleaning the filter that goes over the carbon filter and I’ll def give the oscillating fan a wipe down from dust.

Day: 29

Found signs of bugs but Only managed to find 2 thrips at early stage(no wings yet) so I did a slightly heavy defoliation, removed the scrim scram larf at the bottom (only food for thrips imo) and gave a light spray of insecticide. 🤞🏾 hoping with another 1-2 light sprays I can get/keep this under control. Cannot afford to lose another crop 🤦🏼‍♀️

highgrade

highgrade I’m dealing with the exact same thing. Sprayed it a few times but still see signs of them. I lost two of my mother plants cuz they couldn’t be saved, hoping for the best for my flower room. Wish the best to you!

steezykayla

steezykayla Thanks! I hear you, it’s such a delicate balance with the spray to do it enough times while not chemically frying all the leaves. I have yet to try predatory bugs as it’s gross to me to add more bugs to defeat another lol. I have heard of some ppl who schedule in preemptive sprays on their plants just to make sure nothing ever starts 🤷🏼‍♀️ could be useful tactic
