O.M.G.

Ripper Seeds

I planted 2 seeds and both of them popped, which is awesome. I've got a third seed saved up for next season, just in case these don't turn out exactly as planned. Fingers crossed for some amazing buds, and I'm stoked to be documenting the whole process in this journal.

Day: 44

O.M.G. Update - 5/27/2025 - Day 44: Both O.M.G. plants have successfully recovered and are now exhibiting healthy growth patterns. Notably, Plant #1 is thriving, while Plant #2 is still recovering from a period of stunted growth. Given the current stage of development, I anticipate that Plant #2 will regain its momentum and catch up with Plant #1 in due time. Looking ahead, I plan to initiate Low-Stress Training (LST) next week to promote a uniform canopy and maximize spatial efficiency. The plants will continue to grow until mid-to-late June, at which point they will be transplanted into their permanent 7-gallon containers. Following transplant, I will continue LST techniques until the main stem reaches the pot's edge, after which I will top the plant to encourage lateral branching and expansion. Based on past experience, topping has consistently resulted in more robust development of middle stems and branches. Additionally, next week I will implement a water-only dunking technique to support root health and begin spraying the plants with a neem oil and potassium soap mixture in the afternoon to provide preventative pest control.

Day: 38

O.M.G. Update - 5/21/25 - Day 38: Following a minor drought stress caused by inconsistent watering, both O.M.G.s have demonstrated resilience and are now recovering well, exhibiting healthy growth and vigor. To prevent potential pest issues, a prophylactic application of powdered diatomaceous earth was administered. The plants are currently receiving a balanced nutrient regimen, including cal-mag and silica supplements, which appears to be supporting their development. Overall, the plants are on a positive trajectory, but ongoing monitoring and care will be essential to ensure continued health and optimal growth throughout the cultivation cycle.

Day: 29

O.M.G Grow Log - 5/1/25 - Day 29: Ran into a little speed bump, I wasn't watering consistently enough, and the plants got a bit parched. To get them back on track, I transplanted both into 1-gallon fabric pots. Now, I'm making sure to keep up with their watering and feeding schedule. Fingers crossed they'll bounce back strong.

Day: 18

O.M.G. Grow Log - 5/1/25 - Day 18: These plants are looking good. I started feeding them some nutrients this week, and so far, everything's going smoothly. They're just chillin' and growing like they should. Next week, I'll be giving them some more room to stretch out by transplanting them into bigger pots. Can't wait to see how they take off!

Day: 8

O.M.G. Grow Log - 4/21/25 - Day 8: These little guys are coming along great! I'm just giving them some plain water with a splash of hydrogen peroxide that's been sitting out for a bit to break down. I recently started adding a tiny bit of Cal-Mag to keep things balanced. Next week, I'll be kicking off their regular nutrient feedings, so it'll be interesting to see how they respond.

Day: 4

O.M.G. Germination Log - Day 4 - 4/17/25: I started these seeds on 4/8 by soaking them in water with a dash of hydrogen peroxide for 18 hours. Then, I popped them into a ziplock bag with a wet cotton swab. By 4/10, the taproots were showing, so I planted them in soil. They broke through the surface on 4/13. Right now, I'm just giving them plain water with a bit of peroxide that's been sitting out in the sun for a day or two. No fancy nutrients yet, just keeping it simple.
