Day: 41

Can anyone explain some sort of training. I’m scared to defoliate them. Some were topped and some were FIMMED the other day and I think they doubled in size?

Day: 21

Ph stabilized at 5.8. TD S still increasing 393. RH 19% will need humidifier. Girls look great they are growing and they are standing nice and tall. Decreased airflow wand increased water level. All have their own root system. FINALLY!!!

Day: 20

Looking much better. Standing on their own anyway. Defoliated the yellow leaves. Temp 81 RH 36% Ph 5.8 TDS 393

organic_grower

organic_grower RH 36% try and get that up over 60%

G8keeper

G8keeper I know I’m kinda waiting for some extra money will then get a humidifier. I’ve placed a wet towel in the tent for now but it needs to be replaced every few hours as it dries out quickly.

Day: 19

They don’t look much better. Topped off the water. Everything else looks fine. RH 36%

mushadog

mushadog Your rh should be much, much higher don’t you think?

mushadog

mushadog Also, have any roots developed yet? We’re these started from seed in a cloning machine?

whall

whall The RH should be 60-70% imho. Put a cover over them, it should start sweating pretty quickly.

Day: 18

I’m at a loss! They look like they are dying!

Tallboy2023

Tallboy2023 Is that reading 29% RH?

Hammerhead420

Hammerhead420 I’m thinking your ph swing has cause lockout, but that’s just a guess and considering all of the m are showing issues

G8keeper

G8keeper I changed the water yesterday. Used RO water with TDS 30. No matter what I do the Ph rises as well as the TDS. I’m not sure what’s wrong with these toddlers but I’m not sure they are going to make it. I put a wet towel in the tent to try to create some humidity, it dried really fast. So I think I may have too much airflow and the seedlings are drying out? I turned off the small fan and turned down the large vent fan. I’m still watching them but I’m lost as to what to look for.?!?

Day: 16

Tent temp still 80! All seedling are wilting. Ph was up to 7.1 so lowered it to 6.0. I think I will defumigate the basement and move the tent down there where it’s cold?

ig:@eaegifts

ig:@eaegifts The grow area temp is great growmie, it’s other things causing your issues. Ph should be 5.5-5.8 if you can stay in that range and also check your res temps, that you’ll wanna have lower around 65-70f and humidity should be up around 60% with an oscillating fan on low. Hope this helps 👍🏾

G8keeper

G8keeper Thanks ig I can’t keep the Ph in range for some reason I lower it twice a day. I have a chiller on the res set at 68. The tent temp is always 80+ I have a huge exhaust fan set at 100% and a clip on in the 2x2 tent. I changed the lights to a 300w LED full spectrum which also has its own set of fans. My room temp is 74 so I am kinda expecting the tent to be around that. I have the lights about 30 inches away from the canopy. I have the following probs the roots are all brown but it washes off. The seedlings are wilting. I thought it was the temp? Also yesterday when I changed the res water. There was white scum floating on the top.

G8keeper

G8keeper Also my TDS usually creeps up.. shouldn’t it be coming down?

Day: 15

Is this root rot? Roots are brown and there was white scum floating on top of water. Will rinse w peroxide and change water again. Any other ideas out there?

Hammerhead420

Hammerhead420 Are they slimy and have an odor? If so yes. Are you using hydro guard? If not I would strongly suggest it. IMO it’s a must for any type of aquaponics/ true hydro setup

G8keeper

G8keeper No they are not slimy or smelly and the brown washes off with a water rinse. I use General Hydroponics and the solution is brown I think this may be causing the roots to appear like this?

mushadog

mushadog DWC? How often are you changing the reservoir out?

Day: 13

Tent temp still 90. Water temp was 78 so I added a chiller. The roots were a little golden so I gave them all a peroxide bath. They handled it well no drooping. Also changed the water and added Hydroguard and a little CalMg. Is there anything else I should be doing?

adders

adders Still looking okay to me, I’d say you’re a little ahead of me even though there’s only a day difference

HenryP

HenryP Id say u 10 days ahead of me I’m jealous

mushadog

mushadog Do you have a way to bring outside air in to your environment? AC infinity has some affordable controllers that could kick on to help maintain a lower temp for you. You mentioned a wood stove…gonna be really hard for you to succeed if you can’t keep your temp steady between 70/80 degrees

Day: 10

1/4 strength CalMg

adders

adders These seem like they’re doing quite well considering the temps man, have faith in them 😉

G8keeper

G8keeper The Zkittles on the right was planted 3/28 so I think she’s a little retarded? The others were planted 4/1

adders

adders Zittlez seems a tad short and heavy maybe but she’s leafed nicely I’d say, are they all autos ? Is there any autos ?
