Looking so nice! The top new growth, defoliation method, has started to really show great results! It’s evening out, and has a beautiful bouquet shape. I’ve just started trying these different training techniques, and I enjoy using different methods for each plant, grown side by side. I will definitely keep using this training method! 👍💚

💚 Started this girl 7/1/25 and accidentally deleted her journal around 7/21/25 so had to start over, and add a few pix, to show how it started. I did top growth defoliation only, so main branch, would slow down, allowing the lower branches to catch up, and be an even canopy. It’s looking so nice!

Took two new leaves at the top, after taking this photo. I don’t think I’ll need to trim back, new leaf growth again, because the lower branches have caught up beautifully, and should be a completely even, canopy.

mvlba Hi What soil did you use ?
gypsygrowgoddess I’m using Canna Coco this time. I’ve never used it before, but it’s been amazing. I mixed some worm castings, and perlite, with Canna Coco, and I will be saving my canna coco, in a plastic bin, for recycling. That’s what I did with fFox-Farm Ocean Forest. And I mixed worm castings and grow dots, and reusing it has been great. So I will be creating a canna coco recycle bin.
