so this was a plant from the same pack of seeds that i gave to a friend to mess around with growing in a small pot. they gave it back to me in rough shape, so i transplanted it to a one gallon pot and we’ll see how it goes. i would say week one or two of flower. 1/3 older photo to 3/3 most recent.

yea so i got rid of these autos. i fucked up with changing my lights and caused them to flower by photoperiod rather than autos. i got this compost tumbler tho. starting a lil pheno hunt.

@caliban you were right about the Ph being off. and the soil seems pretty rich (which i knew) other than potash but this is a live soil so it’s a test run. unfortunately this isn’t even the main problem right now because i think i just notices some pistols and that means they’re flowering this small??? wtf lol. is it even worth trying to save the bad one?

Caliban

Caliban So a couple of things. pH of your water into the soil is important. Also the type of soil you use should have a general pH range of 6.3-7. Roughly. Organic soil will adjust your water and is usually very forgiving. However if you notice your runoff is out of that range then you should take gradual corrective action with your watering. You can keep the runt and see if she recovers but it doesn’t look likely. You need a really good veg phase for good flowering. If your veg is failing then not usually worth going too far. But if you are learning then it is worth it.

devyn.8 tbh i’m just growing autos right now to get the quickest experience with the plant. i didn’t think PH would be a problem either because i’m doing organic so i’m clearly doing something wrong. i just don’t understand why the runt is the way it is. i’m not learning anything if i don’t know what i did wrong yknow. i tried searching up things that resemble the look of it. like the leaves are like wrinkled.

Caliban

Caliban That small and it might even be over watering?

Day: 20

okay so i let them dry out a little since i had overwatering problems. i also i added some crimson clover seeds as a cover crop. one plant recovered great from overwatering, but the other still had weird leaves. any ideas why?

Caliban

Caliban Maybe pH is off too? Let her dry until you can dip half finger into dry soil before watering next. Maybe add some foliar fees w kelp and Epsom salt for Mg. ?

devyn.8

devyn.8 I have CalMag i could give it, but this soil had so much in it i didn’t think i would have to add anything till flower. and what’s an efficient way to test soil ph?

devyn.8

devyn.8 i’m no longer overwatering because i bought meters for soil moisture

One started off taller than the other. both stems turned purple. it’s a 95% chance of purple colours according to websites. i’m hyped. getting cover crop soon.

IllusionalDazle They probably turned purple due to high stress 😬
