Day: 59

Bubba Kush is looking real nice. BK2 is super spear and BK1 is a thicker chore cola. They smell amazing! Super sticky and the trichomes are really starting to come on now. I feel like they are at a point that they need water daily so I’ll be watering both of these plants daily.

Abudz88 I think you may have leave miners in your plant (Baby larva from insects). Those squiggly lines are from these insect eating the inside of your plant.

MauiRemedies Yea I do. How do I get rid of that? I’m starting an indoor grow soon and don’t want to bring those pests inside.

Abudz88 There are a few ways, you will always has pest outside, indoor is much more sterile. There is a lot of good info if you google getting rid off leaf miners. If possible try removing damaged leaves and spray with Spinosad or neem oil. I haven’t had this issue before but I recommend checking to ensure you can still use those chemicals during flowering. Some are safe others can ruin your bud.

BK1&2 are both looking amazing. I love the structure and growth of the BK2 much more than the BK1. The formation of the buds on BK2 is what I like to see. Long spear Colas vs a shorter fatter one. Just personal preference. Yesterday I flushed the BK2 and today the BK1. They both needed a flush and are looking great. Both of these girls were pollinated with a male Hawaiian Haze. I am definitely going to continue breeding with the seeds from the BK2 over the BK1. I like the bud structure better, the plant is bushier so heavier yielding, it smells better, looks better. So next round, we will pop seeds from the BK2.

Stacking up nice! Buds are starting to smell. BK1 more has and fuel smell and BK2 a little hints of sweetness. Maybe fruit with gas. Amazing bud formation. You can definitely see the seed pods forming! Fed today after drying out for 6 days after a flush.

Hoober Hollla

MauiRemedies Hey! How’s the grow going?

Hoober Good! Well sort of. I just got a new tent in. But before I moved the into the tent I kept them in my basement and they didn’t grow an inch. Now I have them in a tent with a humidifier hoping to bring them back to life

So I have been wondering what’s going on with the plants. Their growth seems stunted. After researching I think I should not have been feeding my plants. They don’t look burned but possibly nutrient lockout? Using ocean forest soil it has lots of nutrients and you shouldn’t have to feed it for about a month. Then after that maybe supplemental feedings. So next watering will be plain water for a nice flush and should get them growing nicely again.

Bubba Kush is growing nice. BK 2 passed BK1 in terms of growth and height. They both got fed today. I watered with 2 pints per plant. There was some runoff. Plants didn’t perk back up so I’m thinking maybe not fully saturating the soil and less water for now. Sprayed plants with a foliar spray. Interested to see where things go.

Morning of actual day 28. Looks like the leaves perked back up so that’s good. Lots of new growth at the top main flowering sites. They are definitely still stretching vertically. Once they stop growing vertically we will cut back or stop the grow nutes. Overall Bubba Kush is looking very nice and happy today.

Bubba Kush is looking great today. Still settling in since the transplant. Looking perky and nice after the rain. Some growth but nothing too crazy. Weather just cleared up today and we are getting sun and no rain. Plants are looking VERY happy today after the rain. I believe I let these cups dry out a little too much so having the rain to resaturate the soil really helped. Will be checking on these tonight for water to see how they are holding up in the small cups. I believe these plants are going into flowering already. They were outside but in an area that got supplemental lighting at night. Where they are now, they don’t get supplemental lighting so with Hawai’i being almost perfect 12/12 I believe they are starting to head to flower already.

This is the actual day 23. The other day 23 is day 22. Looks like the plants got over the shock of the transplant and are starting to grow faster. They definitely are both females and showing pistils already. The BK1 just has this strong dank smell already that I can smell just standing around it. I’m excited to see how that one will come out. The BK2 is looking good also. I finally picked up some soil so tomorrow we will be filling the rest of the pot up and cover those exposed roots. Out of all the plants in this grow, we got only one Hawaiian Haze Male. Which is perfect! So both of these Bubba Kush plants will be getting pollinated with a Hawaiian Haze make. Stoked to grow this cross on the next run!

Bubba Kush are both looking very nice! We transplanted them from the cups to a 3 gallon grow bag yesterday. They been in the rain all night and all day so far. I prefer to leave them out in the rain as I am just interested in seeing how each strain handles the weather here. The Bubba Kush does good and grows nice and short. I am not doing any training as I want to see how each plant naturally grows. They look healthy and giving them a couple days to recover from the transplant and rain. Some slight coloration on the leaves on the BK2 but I think it’s from the transplant. You can see in the pictures I ran out of dirt and didn’t full burry the root ball. Probably not good to do that but we will see how it goes.
