Garlic Breath

Outdoor grow 2021

Hey! First time poster here. I’m trying my hand at growing cannabis for the first time and currently have four plants that were unexpectedly gifted to me. Im told they are Garlic Breath and Hot Mintz, yet to be able to tell which is which but I’m fairly certain the three living ones are GB. I’m in Michigan and growing them outdoors, in 6 gallon pots on my porch. They took a bit of a hit from shock but three of the four seem like they’ll make it. Now, my question is this: I know the photoperiod is extremely important to flowering as well as turning things into accidental hermis. We have a flagpole on the corner of the porch with a solar light attached at the top. I have no clue how strong, as it’s been there since we bought the home and looks pretty old. Will one solar light atop my flagpole fuck up my flowering? It’s not bright, but bright enough to probably read a magazine title- not a magazine article- if that makes any sense. I will attach a photo once it gets dark out here so you can see how the light casts. Thanks in advance!!

I have zero clue what day of growth, currently trying to backwards math that for you guys or get better insight from the original owners. I will attach a photo once it gets dark out here so you can see how the light casts. Thanks in advance!!

bubbathtomp Hahaha ah shit, peace and love humans! I’ll def check that website out, and thank you both for your input! Honestly I can’t move it anywhere else and my SO thinks he knows all the things and refuses to let me remove the light. More than likely I cant do much, mostly trying to see if I shouldn’t get my hopes up for a good flower. 🥴

bubbathtomp Troyfarms- question! And please don’t take offense, not intended, just truly curious. I checked out your page and it looks like you do a lot of auto’s. I’ve read that auto flowers don’t necessarily go by the same photoperiod strictness as non autos do. Is this true? If so, could be why yours are doing great! Could also be the 50% of posts that say small light is fine if it’s not direct and under a certain threshold. Honestly all the research and responses I’ve gotten have all been about 50/50 🤦🏽‍♀️

Day: 1112

Moved the girls to a new place with better sunlight and accenting the grill. Looks brighter than it is because of camera and one tiki torch on the corner of the porch. Trimmed a ton of dead from the shock and I think these two are doing well! Gunna add a stake to try and pull a branch of the left plant further left to allow for more air flow.

bubbathtomp Added question- in Michigan my plants are still in veg. I haven’t notified any significant stretch but I hear they’ll start flowering as the days grow shorter. What and when should I be feeding them?

The girls have grown much stronger and are filling in, as well as showing first signs of flowering! All three girls 🤩! Gave them some homemade fertilizer today- some aquafaba & then some wood ash, both diluted. Hoping to avoid high fertilizer costs, plus I don’t have massive hopes after the shock these girls went through after their re-homing. However, THEY GOIN!! For my first ever grow, I’m excited!
