17 gallons of GH nutrients (Flora Series Expert Recirculating Feed Chart(updated)) in a 27 gallon storage box. I had to flex seal the yellow lid to eliminate light, and prevent algae. Also I added a piece of fanfold board insulation on the lid to help keep the nutrient solution cool. I used a 5 gallon 6” net pot and Hydroton expanded clay pellets. I have added a GH recirculating drip ring to keep all of the media damp; it uses an ECOair single outlet air pump. I have 4 2”x4” air stones with a 4 outlet ActiveAqua air pump. The recirculating pump is a 400 gph size, however it pumps at a rate of about 130 gph with the direct bottom intake snorkel attachment, which allows for complete drainage of the reservoir. There is a fluid level indicator added as well.
