End result of the Purple Cake. Super gassy with after notes of orange citrus.

Gave her the chop at day 61 of flower. Still had a few white hairs but was showing all cloudy trichomes with some starting to amber. Ended up with 179 grams wet. Hoping for at least an ounce and some change dry. Will post more pics once dried and cured.

Looking nice and frosty. Getting close to the end. Most all trichomes are still showing milky and hazy, only amber on some of the sugar leaves.

Day 50 of flower. Coming down the home stretch as she’s showing some amber on the sugar leaves and is only supposed to run from 56-70 days. Might harvest in about a week.

5th week of flower still going strong. Some nice cakey odors coming off of her now, hoping for some more signs of the purple punch to start showing up but either way she’s looking mighty fine.

Week 4 of 12-12. More pistils starting to turn orange now. A lot of trichome production on this lady too. Feeding Fox Farms Big Bloom at 5tbsp/gal.

Looking strong. Defoliated some of the larger fans after taking this picture to get more light inside. Starting to stack nicely and put off a lot of trichomes. Loving the tight spacing on the nodes too.

Week 3 of flower. Looking a little sad as I missed water day and the humidity has been super high. Also showing some early signs of nitrogen toxicity, so going to dial back the nutrients a bit. Otherwise her bud sites are looking nice, starting to see signs of pistils turning orange.

Removed the tie downs for some pictures and to see how she was holding up naturally. Also did some minor defoliation to let the light to the inner bud sites. I’ll let her sit for a day or two without the restraints and then I’ll tie her down again.

Topped her today. Wanted to wait until there was a good amount of stem growth past the 5th node before clipping so it’s not as likely to split when things get heavier.

Just got back from vacation and the little lady is killing it. Bonsai has made her grow some crazy fat stalk. Getting close to time for topping her as she’s on her 5th node.

She blew up over night! Had to reposition the second bend on her again to help center the growth in the pot.

Growing at a nice 90 degree angle towards the light. Have had to readjust the hold downs every couple days to help her stay towards the center of the pot. This early low stress training will be crucial for keeping it low and stout later on.

Day after the second hard bonsai bend. The goal of this bend was to get the plant back towards the center of the pot to help receive maximum light and air flow. Hoping this early training will help to keep her nice and short in my box.

First sign of sprout. Transplanted to 3 gallon fabric pot. Growing medium is a homemade mixture with a 5.5ph soil base. Added nutrients of dolomite lime, bat guano, blood and bone meal, and perlite for help with drainage. Growing in homemade box with CFL lights.
