GrandpaJohn I recommend looking up different ways of seed germination but the norm is to soak in water for 12-18 hours, usually if the seed sinks to the bottom it took on water and softened enough to crack. Wet a paper towel to the point it’s wet but not dripping when you hold it up. Fold it in half and put the seed down and then fold the rest of the paper towel down on top. Then put it in a ziplock but don’t close it and put it in a dark warm place that has some air flow. Should see something similar to the picture with 24 hours almost every time
