Simon and Thomas are clear leaders of the pack now. Sadly, after such a strong first showing, Bartholomew is really struggling and Andrew is still in a runt status. Keeping my hygrometer close by as usual and making sure heat goes off when it gets to 80 and humidity gets added if it dips below 65 at this stage.

Took the advice from yesterdays update and dropped the LEDs even lower while killing the humidifier. Relying only on occasional spray while maintaining the temp where it needs to be. Simon is really stepping up right now

Happy 3 weeks!!! Simon and Thomas are actively competing for the Alpha now. Bartholomew and Judas were early bloomers, but grew too tall too fast and have to get some girth now. Little worried at how Andrew is doing because of the thin stem and limited growth thus far

The_Holy_Grail_Kush They’re super stretching. They’re desperate for light and their soil is too wet for their roots to grow. Move your light closer or turn it up. And when you water don’t soak the soil, they only need a tiny bit of water around the base of the plant. Check out my 13 day old plants for reference. 👊🏼🌱
Blitzed I’ll lower the LED’s some more today and drop the humidity level to reduce that moisture and see what it does

Thomas has emerged as the new front runner. Consistent growth, new set of leaves coming in the healthiest and very sturdy stem structure. Very happy that after my first crop where I lost three of the four at this stage, things are looking good for ten of the twelve for round 2

May consider a few more links to the lower the LED’s some more but I’ve been happy maintaining temp and humidity in that 70s range pretty consistently now

Blitzed They’re all females. Wife is on a kick watching the Chosen series and I needed twelve names for the dozen I picked up. Just decided to give em the Disciples names for kicks

Lowered the LED’s a foot to try to push growth. All of them are looking good. I may consider replanting Judas here though cuz the stem grew so long and so thin so fast that I may want to get it stable under some more soil.

Doing better with the humidity management. May lower the led’s some more to try and spur some more progressive growth than I’m seeing so far.

First day in the new grow room went good. Temp management was much easier. Still trying to get the humidity up during this seedling stage as it usually sticks no more than 50%. Setting up the mini fan and humidifier in the tent to see how that effects the environment.

The disciples have their new grow space and I’m sure they’re going to be loving it. No more full on Jerry rigging. The temp/humidity and the airflow is much easier to manage now.

Took the advice from another growmie to use plastic bottle tops to insulate the humidity better since i was having issues keeping it up in my current set up. Gonna have them off and on in rotation so the air flow will also reach the disciples and thicken their stems up a bit.

Drizz Haven’t seen it done like this, but doesn’t make it wrong. They’re stretching for light if hate to see them having to get tied up.
Drizz At a later time even if you bury the stem. I went through this 15 years back I can still remember the mistakes. It’s a delicate dance with them for sure

Day: 10
New tent was delayed by a day, but got the new fan, filter, vent system, and temp/humidity gauge today. Spot is cleared for set up tomorrow. Took the advice to work on airflow to build up stem strength. Philip looks to have the most girth of the disciples.

LeChron James Nice! Sometimes, if I get lanky seedlings, I like to bury most of the stem when I transplant. New roots will grow out of the buried stem. Do you have drain holes in the bottom of those cups?
Blitzed Took a skewer to the center of each before putting the potting mix in. Use a spray bottle with some seedling notes to keep ‘em moist. Still having trouble with the humidity levels, but the new set up should take care of that tomorrow.
LeChron James You could fix the humidity problem by cutting some clear plastic drink bottles in half and making a dome on each cup. I do that all the time. Just cut a few small holes in the top of them to allow a small amount of the moisture out. Even with a tent you’ll need the extra humidty the domes provide at this stage.

John and Peter are our first DOAs. Down to 10 of the Disciples. Matthew keeps tumbling over as if trying to be special. Judas has outpaced Bartholomew. We’re still fine tuning the temp/humidity in this first home tent.

Blitzed I got a small fan rolling right now, but I’m done Jerry rigging and tomorrow have a standard 48X48X80 grow tent with temp and air control coming tomorrow to set up. I’ll include the progress with the updates
Drizz Glad ten made it, Andrew’s still alive! I agree, a fan would assist the 10 greatly. I’m happy to see not only have they grown but you’re honing your skill by adjusting temp and humidity. Important stuff, I’m looking forward to seeing your progress Growmie👍🔥

Bartholomew and Judas are really thriving. Andrew and Thomas have almost popped the last of their seed shell off. I fear we have a couple of still births with John and Peter. Will give them one more day to show me anything

Andrew and Thomas have emerged, though they are both still struggling to shed that seed shell. Starting to worry that John and Peter aren’t gonna pop. Judas is challenging Bartholomew as the alpha of the Disciples.
