Day: 26

She just got topped! This is my first time topping a plant and I was definitely nervous! I cut off what would have been her 6th node. She looks healthy and she’s growing fast. I am amazed to see how big she got in less than a week. I fed her a very light dose of CalMag in the last watering and I’m debating whether I should start introducing nutes in her diet. Part of me thinks nutes might speed up her recovering and part of me doesn’t want me to have the plant dealing with the stress of topping and potential nute burn. Any suggestions?

Day: 21

Andrea looks gorgeous today. She’s been responding well to the watering schedule and has been growing steadily in the past week. I’ve noticed she’s started smelling a little skunky. Her nodes are packing fairly tight in my opinion so I think I’ll keep the light at the same height for a little longer. I haven’t fed her any nutes yet, I think she should be able to feed off the soil for a little longer.

Day: 19

Two of the 3 seedlings slowly died so I started germinating two new seeds. A Cheese auto and another northern lights photo. Not sure if this was a mistake but time will tell. Wanted to have at least 3 plants per grow so I could learn more things. The oldest seedling (Andrea) has kept growing and is now on her 3rd set of leaves. The first set never grew any bigger as I thought. Her second set has only 2 fingers, 3 set is showing 3. I haven’t added any nutes yet but one of the leaves’s tips is a little burnt; my guess is that this is due to the fertilizers in the soil. Still trying to work out the optimal watering schedule. So far about 500ml every 3 days seems to be working fine.

Day: 7

I watered them lightly yesterday and they seem to have responded well. I changed the light cycle to 20/4 from 18/6 to see if that would encourage the plants to grow more above ground. I also flipped the light’s reds on today instead of having just the blue to give them a fuller spectrum. Andrea (in the middle) has been growing her second set of leaves, I have given up hoping for her first set to grow any more than it already has. Her sisters look good as far as I can tell. One of Ben Bela’s (top) leaves is slightly curved down and her medium is almost dry so I doubt it has anything to do with overwatering.I kinda love Meng Meng’s (bottom) mustache shaped leaves, I wonder if that just a small mutation or something else. Growing is fun!

Day: 5

2 of 3 are still in coco pellets, still trying to figure out the optimal watering schedule. Overwatered the first seedling to sprout so I’m being very cautious now. She has recovered and her two sisters look healthy so far. Got these girl a humidifier today as RH was around the 30’s, close to 60% now. #1 is the oldest of the 3 and she’s in soil now, her first set of leaves’ tips got burned when I overwatered, growth on those leaves seems stunned but she’s working on her second set.

WrightHulme_17 Looking good👍🏼what nutrients you planning on using?

Findmenowhere I plan on using the general hydroponics Flora series 🌱 I’ll wait till they are a couple weeks older to start feeding them nutes
