Day 66 (Week 10)

20 updates

54 photos

Day: 66

The 4 ‘Berry plants all are starting the switch to flower. I’ll be reducing the light cycle by 1/2 hour over 12 days until a 12/12 schedule is reached. I fed them pro-tekt, cal-mag, Big Bloom, recharge and molasses and did a little more defoliation. The autos all received a gallon of RO water with no additives. The strawberry cheesecake auto was showing sign of nutrient burn.

Day: 61

I lollipopped the 4 ‘Berries on day 60 to give plenty of time to recover from the shock before switching them to flower around day 70. They were fed recharge plus blackstrap molasses and will only get water from here to flip.

Maine.Man The biggest autos are getting heavier doses of nutrients as they near the end. I gave them full strength (15mL) Fox Farms Tiger Bloom, half strength (1/8 tsp) Flower Fuel, 10mL cal mag, and 20mL (1.3 tbs) blackstrap molasses.

Okay. I’m home and ready to get these girls back up to speed for the last couple weeks leading up to both harvest for the autos and the flower switch for the photos. A big update today as there was quite a bit to do after 12 days of nothing but water. ALL plants received Pro-Tekt, Cal Mag, and FF Big Bloom. First, the autos. Wow, they took off. The strawberry cheesecake had nice dense buds forming and is looking at another 2.5-3 weeks before harvest. I’m excited for this one. I added 2mL of Humboldt’s Secret and a half strength dose of Flower Fuel (1/8 tsp). First time using this concentrated PK booster. The Cinderella Jack’s both got 1/2 strength FF Tiger Bloom. The one I planted earlier has great buds starting to develop while the other one is definitely taller and lankier as I wasn’t around to train it more meticulously.

Day: 59

The late-start, lanky Cinderella Jack auto was put in the 4x4 with the ‘Berrys. All 5 plants were given the standard Pro-Tekt, Cal Mag, Fox Farms Big Bloom, along with 5mL Fox Farms Grow Big (1/2-1/3 strength) and 2mL Humboldt’s Secret.

Day: 57

Returned from a long 12 day trip away from my babies. The anxiety!! This update will included info and pics of what happened while I was away. To make their life easy, I had my caretaker add nothing more than reverse osmosis and/or distilled water. Around day 49, the two Cinderella Jack’s and Strawberry Cheesecake autos got Recharge. There were also some small adjustments to training. While away, the plants simply did not the get constant attention I had been giving them. They proved to be very resilient even when put through some decent under-watering. These were a few photos while I was away. You can imagine my horror when I received a couple of these!

Large update today in preparation for leaving on a 10-14 day trip, including making room for this crowded 2x4 space.

Maine.Man The two Cinderella Jack’s and Strawberry Cheesecake autos were left in the 2x4 tent. They were all given Fox Farms Big Bloom and Cal-Mag. The Strawberry Cheesecake had been given Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Humboldt’s Secret two days earlier. The idea is to give plenty of nutrients to allow for only watering while away.

Maine.Man The 2 Glueberry OG’s and 2 Blueberry were moved to a 4x4x7 tent with an AC Infinity 600 inline fan with carbon filter. They were given their first nutrients. Fox Farms Grow Big at 1/4 strength along with Big Bloom and Cal-Mag.

Running out of room...

Maine.Man All plants except for the small Cinderella’s have had Recharge added with Cal-Mag at this point. Only the Strawberry Cheesecake has had any nutrients added getting a 1/4 strength Grow Big nutrient to get her through early flower.

Day: 37

Big Cinderella Auto received its first nutrients, 1/4 strength Fox Farm Grow Big, plus cal-mag and pro-tekt. The small one received just the cal-mag and pro-tekt. All four ‘Berry plants had their lower growth up to or including the third node to encourage upper growth and reduce leave coverage and shade.

Day: 34

Maine.Man Slightly more aggressive LST today. ‘Berry strands have large, dense leaves and nodes are close together making getting light to lower nodes more challenging.

Day: 31

First feeding. 15mL/gal Fox Farm Big Bloom (guano and worm castings) and 10mL/gal Cal-Mag.

Day: 30

Day before recharge and cal-mag nutrients.

Day: 28

Only leaf tucking since LST began. Plants have recovered from any shock resulting from topping and seem to be moving along well.

Day: 26

Lots of leaf tucking plus purified water with 3mL/ Pro-Tekt per gallon.

Day: 25

The other five plants have all begun LST. 4 plants were fimmed, cutting off the top 2/3 of new growth to encourage new node growth with less stress than topping.

Day: 23

Strawberry Cheesecake auto ready for manipulation. Topped by using my fingers to gently pull top node rather than use scissors to avoid stress. Also began low-stress training.

Day: 20

Autos are in 3 gallons and photos are in 5 gallons. No nutrients added until after week 3-4 of transplant. Only 2.5 mL Pro-Tekt in 1 gallon tap water. Ph adjusted to 6.4
