All six seeds have shoots about 3/4” long. Time to plant! I covered six small plastic cups with painters tape (to make them opaque) and drilled holes in the bottoms. I added some Recipe 420 potting mix to each cup. I dug a little hole in each with my fingertip and placed a seed, shoot down, into the hole and just barely covered the seed with soil. I then watered each cup with distilled water and covered it with plastic wrap and taped it down. I put all the seeds outside in the sun, but moved them inside beneath a skylight because it was quite warm out and a lot of water condensed inside the cups in just a couple of hours.

All six seeds popped open and each is showing a tiny shoot. Wetting paper towels with the distilled water.

6 seeds in distilled water. This is my first attempt at growing autos outdoor from seeds. Sonoma Seeds claims 80% germination and I’d like to end up with at least one plant from each strain, so I’m germinating two of each for a total of six plants.
