Started with four seeds. Only three popped. Growing in coco and perlite in a 4x4 tent, with Athena blended nutrients. Started seeds with 40watt LED and switched to Kingbrite 480w at the end of week one. Automated high frequency fertigation via hydro halos and automated drain to bucket. Meet: 1. Snowflake 2. Ended with 7 ounces of decent nugs. Lots of small buds, resin production is okay. Nothing special but def decent for my first round back. I’m guessing there’s another 5 ounces in larf to pick off and make into hash!

Well, this is what we got! I can already tell the yield is going to be disappointing but some of the buds came out looking pretty good. Not bad for my first serious run, definitely learned a lot. A big adjustment moving forward will be managing the canopy and space more effectively. It was way too crowded and there was not enough light penetration to the lower branches. Got lots of larf. I’m going to clean up and reset, excited for the next round!

lolaperez The leaves will droop if they’re very dehydrated, I feed before this happens. I lift the pots and see how heavy they feel. No exact science. Before this, I was feeding five times a day just trying to measure 5% runoff (rather than lifting the pots to feel their weight). I was sloppy and the climate got very hot. Had to stop the auto feed. Have been hand feeding for the last ten-ish days via the lift method lol. This is for coco.

Roots locked out rn in all plants. One rotted so bad I had to cut the branches off. I’m letting them dry out and hitting it with revive for a week. They’re theoretically four weeks from harvest- hope I can save them 🥲 looks like the yield and quality is going to be pretty shite.

growin4thepham Was thinking same thing. Made that mistake before by not allowing dry time
lolaperez I was feeding 5 times per day and still believe that watering with such frequently will result in more explosive growth. Im basing this off of comparison to other grows during the veg phase. It looked like my plants had thicker stems, more full roots, and faster growth than other plants that were similar in age during veg. There’s real academic research about “high frequency fertigation” on google scholar to support this method. That being said, I overwatered the hell out of it in terms of volume. There was like 40% runoff each feed, when it should have been closer to 5-10%. Def didn’t dry in between. Lots of wasted nutrients and locked out the plants. However, I strongly believe that if the air temperature and reservoir temperature were on point (and I lowered the volume of feed) that the plants would thrive when being fed 4-5 times per day.

lolaperez Electrical output. Circuit break is blowing. We have an electric vehicle and the break can’t handle the grow + charging at the same time. So the lights cycle have been disrupted twice at this point
Mystrain420 Could u hook up some 2700k flood bulbs in the tent? They have a good flower spectrum and if you put them on a different outlet they can be like a backup when the strong lights go out. Also is there a way u could charge the cr during lights out?

Mystrain420 No offense but their position is off imo. I’d put the big girl in back because she looks like she can fill the space almost wall to wall left to right. The little one in front by the dehumidifier and the one under the fan put where the little one is now. I wouldn’t let the small plant have the most space. Just my opinion, looking nice btw 👍🏾
lolaperez Yeah this is one of those learning moments. I can’t change the plants position at this point. Had I known the left one would be so small, I could have set them up in a more efficient way. Now I know lst by itself ain’t shit compared to fluxing+mainlining lol

Cobe If you plan to lolipop, I thinkyou should do it before flower. Id take the smaller bud sights and lower fan leaves off just before you flower so that the plant can focus everything on those main colas

lolaperez Athena nutrients! Look into silicate for whatever grow line you’re using. Powersi is highly recommended. Also high frequency feeding. I feed her four times a day

mystrain420 Wow 5 times a day really? I grow in coco mostly and feed 1X a day in veg and every other day usually with seedlings depending on temps the only time I go up to more than 1 feed a day in veg is if it’s a extremely hot dry day. There’s some misinformation about coco needing to feed multiple times a day, that’s not true at all but it’s possible and done during flower not veg. U first need the roots to feed 5x a day otherwise u are just wasting nutrients and overwatering, and yes coco can be overwatered. Add some close up pics for better help and more information like where the yellow started and environment. I’m fairly certain tho that your over feeding/watering because it’s only effecting the two closest to the res which probably get most the feed every time unless the valves are to equal it out? Also runoff ppm being higher is a clear sign they not eating all that,

lolaperez Could be nutrient lock out from high ppm or cold temps. You could try flushing. If you’re growing coco, google search cocoforcannabis- I’m pretty new to growing but am finding success by just following his guides

Edit: Set up the auto drain system ! Seems totally unnecessary at this point but it sure is cool and satisfying. Auto feed system coming tomorrow if the timer gets here before dark. 🤙 Are these tiny white specs powdery mildew ?! It doesn’t seem like it but idk what else it might be. Temps at 76-85F. RH has been at 60%, I have two fans blowing directly on the plants.

Looks like transplant was a success. I sprayed “stack” by Athena on the leaves last night as well. Plants doing good minus some algae on the surface of the coco. Hopefully tomorrow will be an update that includes auto watering and some sweet drainage. Today was a very wet, dry run lol.

Transplanted to 1 gallon today. No surprise but B-Rad had the best root ball mass. None of them were impressive though. Just a tip for anyone out there, I’d recommend staying away from cardboard jiffy pots to start off seedlings. The roots were growing into the pots (which I think is purposeful in their designed) and made it difficult to separate the roots from the pot. I hope the plants bounce back but I had to be kind of rough in handling the roots. Auto feed system and runoff system coming in soon.

mystrain420 You aren’t supposed to take plants out of those type of pots, you’re just supposed to plant the entire pot into new soil. It’s biodegradable and roots are meant to grow through it 👍🏾

mystrain420 If that’s soil your ph is too low those are coco ph ranges. Also calcium and magnesium are two different nutrients so it’s no such thing as a calmag deficiency
