Update: Trimming is going slowly but I have almost an ounce jarred up at this point. Working as quickly as possible. I wish I could have let this baby finish properly, it would’ve been epic, but she tastes better than I expected and I’m going to have a lot of material for extracts and tinctures so no complaints.

I chopped the monster! I removed 23 tomato hooks and 3 pieces of wire. Wet weight was a staggering 1,328.65 grams (or 2.965 pounds). Main cola was 138.16 grams and the heaviest branch was 166.18 grams. I didn’t see any mold so far so that’s a relief She’s hanging to dry. Holy shit! (That’s what I said every time I cut a branch.). 🥳😂

QueenOfTheKind Real Growers Recharge (during sprout & Veg), Prescription Blend nutrients and Terpinator. It’s the Prescription Blend nutrients that blew her up.
YesYouCannabis Looking real goodie…have you always used Prescription Blend and is it the best you would recommend? I’m using Advance for 1st grow getting tired of all the bottles. Prescription only has 6 bottles seems easy

I spent about 8 hours pulling all the dead material I could find, said a prayer to the cannabis gods and put her into 48 hours of darkness before I harvest. I did all I could. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I have a feeling it’s going to be a long 48 hours.

So here’s my dilemma: Trichomes are still pretty milky and normally I’d let her go another week or 2. So far I’ve been keeping up with the dead material and have no mold but I feel like it’s only a matter of time. There’s just so much to pull and I’m already spending hours and probably missing some. The dehumidifier isn’t scheduled to arrive for another week and we’re having the most rainy and humid summer on record with no end in sight. So, harvest her early while there’s no mold even though she’s not quite ready or let her go and possibly lose some (or more) of her to mold/rot? I’m leaning towards early harvest but it’s a really tough decision. 😥

Cobe I think only you will know what best for you garden at the end of the day! Have you tried harvesting with trichomes at this level? If not I’d say go for it why not try something new! If you have then I think you just gotta trust your heart. If humidity is way out of wack, the best option could be not losing such a beast.

Less yellow today but still picked out a bunch of dead material in between the buds. Anxiously awaiting my dehumidifier. Much less new pistil growth. Can’t keep the buds upright anymore.

She had a LOT of yellow leaves today. I spent about 2 hours pulling them and any dead material. Her buds are hardening up. I can no longer keep the main cola straight because of the weight.

She’s definitely slowing down. It’s hard to keep up with pulling all the dead leaves out from in between all that material but I’m doing my best to mitigate any mold problems. She got a gallon of water, Prescription Blend nutrients and Terpinator today. Dehumidifier is on the way.

QueenOfTheKind Prescription Blend nutrients and Maxsisun PB4000 light in a 4x4 tent. The nutrients are making a huge difference. I started with Humboldt’s Secret and switched to Prescription Blend when I ran out. I’ll never switch again.

QueenOfTheKind I don’t hate trimming, I’m just painfully slow at it. I’m envisioning at least a week of marathon 12 hour sessions. Maybe with yields like hers I’ll get faster and won’t be as worried about getting every smokable piece from her. 🤞🏻lol

Moved the plants around so I could get to her more easily. I propped a couple more branches. Her lowest branches are as thick as the main stem of the first few plants I grew. She’s going to be my highest yield to date by far.
