Well she finished. Had a mixed bag of trichomes and just wasn’t really growing anymore. Chopped and washed her. Didn’t get a wet weight because this one needs to hang dry. First couple colas were about 20gs dry.

Nyçrølyñiuis

Nyçrølyñiuis I'm proud to be an okie from musgokee. A place where tricks don't even have a ball.

Nyçrølyñiuis

Nyçrølyñiuis We don't smoke dope in musgokee. We only put the sour diesel in the engine

Day: 73

The second half of the plant seems to be recovering a little. More trichomes showing up.

purpleYeti What happened?

HokieHigh2011

HokieHigh2011 I left it on vacation a few weeks ago, mad humid in the greenhouse and it started to show mold on a couple buds. I sprayed it with baking soda and water in a bad ratio trying to kill mold and it turned all the leaves spotted yellow. A couple other moldy buds showed up so I eventually just cut off half the plant to see what did better. I was surprised that the mold did not spread within the buds, I didn’t cut out much but caught it very early.

purpleYeti Man good for you and sorry about the mold problem! How did you contain the humidity after?

Chopped half, but second half may be recovering. Still tbd.

Day: 70

Took half of her out and cut out all the remaining dead leaves. Looks a little better though so may let the other half ride for another week to see how she does.

Going to let her sit one more day but moved out of the greenhouse to avoid an infection. It’s only been a few spots and I’ve removed them. Couldn’t bring myself to chop off the main cola completely.

Day: 64

Well I think this is the end. Main cola started getting bud rot this morning. Is it worth it to try and make edibles out of this guy or just trash the whole plant?

SaviiBuds

SaviiBuds That def looks like botrytis. Sorry growmie that’s heartbreaking 😕

HokieHigh2011

HokieHigh2011 Thanks for the input, I thought so. I chopped the main cola, but the others appear to be doing ok. They don’t really seem to be growing anymore though, I’m going to let them sit until my LEVO 2 arrives then it’s time for gummies if there’s no more progress.

Day: 61

Looked like she was going to pull through for a minute, then all the leaves that had managed to stay green started getting these new yellow spots. 🤦‍♂️ there are better options than baking soda for powdery mildew but I’m an idiot for messing up the ratio. Leaves have no frost, not sure what to do with it if it doesn’t make it to harvest.

zer0ping Any update today?

HokieHigh2011

HokieHigh2011 More of the same. Luckily I didn’t spray the buds so they look ok but there is very little frost. Going to keep it going. A couple of buds have looked like they were starting to get rot so I cut them off, but not sure if that is the lingering effect of being enclosed in the greenhouse for a week while I was on vacation. Crazy humidity and temp swings up to like 108. I’ll upload some more pics tomorrow.

Day: 59

I think I fucked it up. Tried to treat some powdery mildew that showed up while I was on vacation. Used 1tbsp baking soda with 1 qt water in a mist and spots showed up. Read online that would treat it but guess not. Hopefully she makes it for edibles.

organic_grower

organic_grower Looks like spider mites

HokieHigh2011

HokieHigh2011 It all showed up 12 hours after I sprayed it with the baking soda. I fucked up the dosage for sure. Haven’t seen any spider mites, had a minor thrip issue throughout the grow but I have about 200 kills to my name to keep that in check.

zer0ping

zer0ping Rinse her off. Let her chill for a day with lower humidity if possible (under 50) and then hit her with some neem oil foliar spray and she’ll be fine. Just my two cents. Crazy how we’re always shooting our selves in the foot.

Day: 56

Just got back from a week vacation. Had irrigation on in the greenhouse but it also poured all week so humidity was way too high. A bit of mold on some of the leaves and one bud. Cut them off, do you guys think the plant is still able to keep going? Will be very sad to see this one go to waste.

hempgeneration

hempgeneration Should be fine I wouldn’t have cut off the mold just spray your plant down with hydrogen peroxide to kill the mold

HokieHigh2011

HokieHigh2011 Thanks dude I’ll keep that in mind next time. I got worried that shit was gonna spread and ruin everything. Luckily only about 10-15 leaves so I think I caught it early.

Day: 47

Any ideas what could cause this to the leaf? I have thrips but been able to handle most just crushing them. Just a few leaves with this condition and all at the bottom of the plant. Help 🙏

Day: 47

Anyone know what could be going on with these leaves at the base of the plant? I have a minor thrip problem but under control. Just seems to be a few leaves at the base of the plant

Ahh Pests! Found this one aphid but have been finding a bunch of these small guys you can sort of make out from my kids handheld microscope. Not sure if those are baby aphids or another shit bug looking to ruin my first baby. Also finding similar yellow/orange sacks that look like eggs under the scope. Sprayed with neem oil yesterday but read it’s not a good idea when flowering. Otherwise I remove by hand. If anyone knows what these are and best way to rid me of them that would be helpful! Thanks!

Gaining some nice height to kick off flowering.

Walter Green

Walter Green Wow, are you using a special Technique ? Nice wide bush you have create there, really impressive for an automatic strain 👍🏼 and indoor

HokieHigh2011

HokieHigh2011 This is my first grow ever so hard to know if I did anything special hah. I did LST after it had like 8 nodes but just curled the main branch around the pot. Added one more tie to the second tallest cola to keep the middle open to light, but I think most of the height is just due to the sun. I’ve been opening the doors most days but the greenhouse has definitely gone up to 110 and even 120 at some points. Seen a couple leaves with what look like the start of some heat stress but overall she seems to handle it well.

Day: 35

Found a few black spots on one leaf this morning. They don’t rub off. There was one more on the back that looks like it could come off but is stuck. Any ideas? Fly shit?

adders

adders I’d guess at fly shit, found a few splodges similar on one of my leaves earlier

HokieHigh2011

HokieHigh2011 Yeah I think so too. Got a ton of different pests roaming this greenhouse. Just put up some traps and working on a screen system since doors have to be open all day to avoid a bake out…

adders

adders The slightly more upmarket magnetic screens work well as they do create a good seal and you can make it tight pretty close to the floor which helps a little, looks a healthy leaf though 💪🏻
