First ever grow

These are my first grows ever. I decided to use auto flowers so I can get a grasp on it. I decided to use fox farm super soil with Perlite, And cloth pots. Fertilizer will also be fox farm. Water will be tap but Ph balanced.

Day: 70
Day 70 is here and this is what we look like on the trichome check. First one is up top, middle and Bottom. I’ve read that more milky and less dark will give more of a head effect. I’m thinking we’re going to cut down Friday or Monday with the long weekend ahead.

Some microscope shots. Flushing for a week. I think they’ll be ready sooner than expected. What do you guys think?

godsproblem The typical growers answer is always, give it about a week. Check the trichomes every other day or daily. Maintaining patience is the ultimate goal when you get to this point in the grow.
nobuddyatall Pics 6,7,8.... you got a bunch of white pistils that have yet to fill in. Yep— you DO have a few amber trichomes. 👌 Perfect. But—- again—- be PATIENT. At LEAST a week to 10 days. You’ll see the difference in the end result buds. 🌿👍

We are coming Into week 9 and this is what our top branches are starting to look like. We are looking at about 50% milky trichomes. We are starting our flush tomorrow when we officially hit week 9. I can’t believe we’ve gone this far already.

Little bit of weed porn for everyone. Just started week 8. Need to learn how to trellis better next time.

Day 52 and wow have we grown! We’re just a little over 2 weeks from being ready to harvest! She looks and smells great! I’m so excited for this harvest to be over so I can enjoy the product that I took care of myself!

Love4209997 Okay so here’s my question. This is an auto flower that should be ready in 60-70 days. I’ve been watching the trichomes and all that but with this being my first grow, I’m not very well versed in when they should come down, especially with an auto. If my math is right, I should have 18 days left. Should I bump this up another week before cutting?

We are coming into week 7. She’s doing great though while I was watering one of her bottom stems snapped. I’m trying to see if it can save it with some zip ties. Probably going to have to pull it though.

nobuddyatall Not zip ties.... try clear packing tape or grafting tape.... just line up the break as best you can—- splint it up—- be careful with it for a few weeks. I’ve broken a main stem during early LST and had the tape splint still there two months later. See my Widow/Gorilla grow... for example. 👍

Day 40 and she’s looking beautiful! Going to give her some food today and let her sit over the weekend. We’re 4 weeks away from being done!!

Sorry for the delay in updating. We are coming into week 5 and this is what she looks like. She has a name now, Vinny. She’s been doing awesome with LST and her feeding has gone great. Put the trellis up to get things going with a canopy.

Week 3! We watered yesterday ph balanced and honestly, my priority is shifting to this sour diesel as she is just exploding in size. I had to add a little more dirt today to keep the bottom of her stable. I’m already getting a STRONG smell of skunk in her. So exciting!

Today is watering day! All the girls got water Phed to around 6.2 with fox farm grow big. This girl is my best looking one and I gave her 1/4tsp of big bloom/.5 gallon of water with grow big as more so an experiment than anything else. She’s looking awesome so figured a little shouldn’t hurt her. They’re drinking quite a bit I know that! This one just got a little water on Sunday and was already fairly dry!

Day: 10
We’re a little over a week from first putting the girls in the soil. Sour diesel is growing beautifully. Still have them domed and I’m pretty much just spritzing them with water a couple times a day. Second photo is of a seed we found in our bud a few months back. She’s been growing a little over 3 weeks and looks great. Probably will switch her to a bigger pot here soon. Last photo is of grand daddy purple. I’m a little concerned at the seedling as she hasn’t had nearly as much growth as sour diesel. I did throw another seed in there by accident and you can see she’s starting to come out of the ground. No feeding yet.

The girls have officially sprouted! My sour diesel is shows small signs of nutrient burn. Tomorrow’s watering will be with plain ph balanced water. These are auto flowers so I’m running an 20 on 4 off light cycle.
