Sour Diesel

Summer 2023

Germinating 8 seeds, hope to harvest seeds, pollen, and flower. Same setup as previous grows, trying Nectar For The Gods -#4 soil.

Sour Diesel regular seeds from MSNL

Day 164 (Week 24)

Done

21 updates

50 photos

Day: 164

Now dried and curing in jars. I’ve been smoking some for a while now since harvest, super strong head high that transitions to body after 3-4 hours. Sadly I over dried and lost that wonderful fuel aroma. 😔 other than that I did achieve all other goals and was able to harvest pollen, 29.4g of beans, 3.1g of kief, and 381g of flower or 13.4 ounces. This is a little better than previous harvest weight wise which was also a secondary goal. I had been using Batch 64 Moonshine soil but switched to Fox Farm when it was no longer available. I saw an immediate drop in quantity and flavor. This last grow was with Nectar For The Gods #4 soil.

Flower

What’s currently playing in the grow room. Solitary Man by Neil Diamond, Lonely Is The Night (Remastered) by Billy Squier. In the past 2 weeks; had to leave town for a death in the family, a friend watered with molasses while gone, upon return trimmed for light to bud sites, watered w/ worm casting tea & compost tea, fed late flower Roman regimen, trimmed yellowed leaves, took a sample from one of the buds and viewed under microscope - no amber at this time, I’m guessing 2-3 more weeks.

trichometheatre

trichometheatre What dominant/recessive traits are you specifically breeding for? Which true breeds are you using to start your base/using to build your gene pool? Where did you get the Sour D? Was is a cut or seeds? Ty so much my g!☮️💚

TheSocialGrower Beautiful beetroot red on the stem in pic 2!!!!!

johnnyg

johnnyg I’ve never paid any attention to that, I see it all the time during flower and consider it normal. No?

TheSocialGrower Yeah it’s probably just genetics. My first few grows I ran a strain that gets red stems and ppl had me thinking it was light burn or any number of things… I just think it’s pretty! The shade is so vibrant

Adjusted light height, transplanted to final pots, males in 5 gal, females in 10 gal, all smart pots. Started brewing a batch of compost tea. Letting them rest a few days after transplanting now before trimming, to be followed by putting them to flower in 2-3 weeks.
